Arrow FALCON Skill Builder - June 16, 2012 - Chino, CA

Duration: 1 Day
Course Cost: $75.00 / Per Session
AM Pistol Session: 08:00 – 12:00
Lunch: 12:00 - 12:30
PM Carbine Session: 12:30 - 16:30
Operational Tempo: Moderate / High
Prerequisites: Pistol Manipulation 1.0 / Carbine Manipulation 1.0 or Equivalent from Reputable Training Organization

This course was designed for FALCON alumni to maintain the skill sets they have learned during previous FALCON courses. FOG breaks the day down into two separate sessions allowing students who can only attended a half day of training to get their repetitions on the range. The Skill Builder Course is fast passed as we cover as many drills while maintaining marksmanship.

Pistol COF (Courses of Fire):
Life Safety Brief
Pistol Fundamentals Review
Accuracy Shooting Drills from 3 - 25 yards
Zone Shooting Drills
Ball and Dummy Drills
Shooting on the Move (forward, backward, laterally)
Cone Drills
Positional Shooting Drills
Shooting from Cover

Carbine COF (Courses of Fire):
Life Safety Brief
Carbine Fundamentals Review
Accuracy Shooting Drills from 3 - 50 yards
Zone Shooting Drills
Transition to Pistol Shooting Drills
Malfunction Drills
Shooting on the Move
Cone Drills
Positional Shooting Drills
Shooting from Cover


Requirements to Attend Course:
Open mind & willingness to learn
Ability to follow simple instructions
Ability to reproduce simple instructions
Demonstrate the 6 safety principals at all times
Functional pistol chambered in 9mm, .40 Cal or .45 ACP
Functional rifle chambered in 5.56x45, 5.45x39, 300 Blackout, 7.62x39, 7.62x51
Students who exhibit unsafe behavior or fail to adhere to the Falcon range and safety regulations will be warned, and then removed from class if they continue the unsafe behavior. Students removed from class will NOT receive a refund on their tuition

Equipment / Load Out:
Handgun & Min 3 magazines
Pistol Ammo = 500 min (700 rounds recommended)
Hip holster & Magazine pouches
Thigh holster if applicable
Belt to support the holster & magazine pouches
Rifle & Min. 4 magazines
Rifle Ammo = 500 (700 rounds recommended)
Rifle Magazine Pouches or Vest Type Carrier with Magazine Pouches
Eye protection (must be wrap around style)
Hearing Protection
Cleaning Kit & Lubrication
Proper Clothing suited for time of year & demographics (no shorts please)
Proper foot wear (no sneakers, tennis shoes or sandals)
Hat (baseball style)
Sunscreen (weather depending)
Rain gear (weather depending)
Snivel gear / Cold (weather depending
Knee / Elbow pads (optional)
Water (you must stay hydrated no matter what the weather)
Insect Spray

Range Fee = $20.00 collected in cash morning of course

Since this class will be at Prado, why not do some pistol accuracy drills with steel targets at 50 yards?

Yes, I took a class there where we did shoot off diagonally ~70 meters (one handed). Was lots of fun!

MAN THATS ALOT OF AMMO: 5.56 20BOX@$7.00X25BOXES=$175
9MM 50BOX@$16.00 X 10BOXES=$160

Not hateing just doing the math.

Not sure if that's completely accurate but when I took a Falcon carbine class, I did use about 500 rounds of 5.56 ammo but that was a whole day course. The skill builder is only about 4 hours so it could be less.
