Default Atlantic Arms Yugo O-PAP AK In Stock

I just got an email notification that they have these in stock:

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/inde...roduct_id=1551

I already ordered one a few days ago and they ran out pretty fast. Fairly strong buzz online about these rifles being first rate Zastava built AK's.

FYI It will run about $744 shipped to your FFL with the mag lock added. Atlantic is CA friendly and will also send the mag(s) as rebuilds for you.

So let's see.....

The rifle we are talking about isn't on their website at all.

The AK's that are similar are more expensive AND out of stock.

And Finally........ (Drum roll).....

They will not ship these rifles or convert them to 'California Legal' status anyway.

After the debate in this thread, I contacted Classic and asked them about FFL01 stuff, i.e. AK's. The rep told me that they WILL ship to a CA FFL01 if the buyer sends in the needed parts (i.e. maglock) and stipulates the need to install it in the sales comments.

Good price for a nice AK. If I only had the cash now - I would pick one of these up. Seems like prices are dropping on everything. Hopefully when I do have the disposable income available, the price will be cheaper.

Does anyone know if these O-PAP's have a single stack or double stack bolt?

I read somewhere that there have been three generations of these and the latest generation is supposed to come with a double stack bolt. Since this is newly arrived inventory, and based on the description posted on Atlantic, these very likely do come with the double stack bolt. Not a definitive answer, but neither Atlantic or Century are know for providing much of a description for their firearms.

Thanks to atlantic arms for shipping to CA...

From their site: If you are located in California and are purchasing a rifle we will be glad to send the mag to the FFL dealer as a parts kit. It is your responsibility to discuss this in advance with your dealer. We do not offer parts kits to any other states since it is only legal in CA"

We are doing our best to get the rifles behind Enemy Lines before they try to cut you off in CA . After Oct 1 st in Maryland we can no longer buy AR15 & AK47 rifles they are shutting down sales to civilians .

Interesting, that would explain some issues with the WASRs, wondering how much of an issue it is with new PAPs. Hellayella stated above that the reviews on AKfiles say that all the bolts have been gtg thus far.

I'm gonna jump on there in a bit and see if I can find the thread about it.

My money would still go to Atlantic first, its extremely nice to have businesses who support 2A rights to all the states and people. Thumbs up for Atlantic making it fair and easy.

Yep, I made a point of spending money there when I read up on their support for those of us behind the lines. It is sort of a Berlin airlift to help starving comrades!

Regardless if you're buying from Classic or Atlantic, wouldn't simple removal of the pistol grip and taking mag apart, satisfy CA compliance?

Anybody know the LOP of these? I read that these have a longer than usual stock. I'm looking for something that has the standard Warsaw length.

I got one from JG Sales for $599. Of course to get it, I had to drive there with a friend and his FFL 01. I'm on day four of my ten day wait.

Yes, but they don't want to do that usually. Atlantic will do that for the Beryl Archers though, they might do it for the O-PAPs if requested.

Yes, but why bother when other people who live in places where the constitution is respected will buy up your stock anyway?

I was thinking the same thing when we were at JG Sales. They were complaining about how slow it is right now and how overstocked they are on the AK's we bought (as reflected in the $599 sale price). They helped us remove the pistol grips before we loaded them up and I wondered why they didn't just take 30 seconds to do the same thing for their mail order customers.

I sent an email over. I'm looking to purchase one of these around mid September.

Anyone recommend a good mag for this?

This isn't true. In fact if your FFL won't accept rebuilds, your SOL with you order through Atlantic. Atlantic won't ship rebuilds to CA home addresses. I called two weeks ago and whomever picked up was rude and asked if I could read their website.

I ended up getting this same rifle shipped to CA for a much cheaper final price from another vendor.

Yes we do ask customers to please read the site it normally covers all the details there on how to buy , shipping, CA legal info etc. Thank you for considering our firm and sorry we could not accommodate your request .

Also as a follow up to a previous question if you would like the gun shipped to CA as a featureless rifle that is not a problem. When placing the order in the order note section please mentions that you want the pistol grip removed and the gun sent featureless . Please make sure you have ironed this out with your dealer in advance of the order and refused shipments are subject to a restocking fee.

Email sent with requested info. I was looking to pick up your PTR91 Eclusive model. Might have to wait till you get a new batch of these Ak's before I order

Do you - Atlantic Arms - ship mags to LEO Exempt?

We can't thank you enough for supporting us stuck behind the lines here in the socialist republic of California !!! So many vendors and sellers want to punish us like we, gun owners, are the ones responsible for this state. Many of us are here due to jobs or military deployments etc.
