Let me know what you think of the place. I'm calculating how much I could save be starting the or in Vegas. Allegiant air is giving some really good deals right now if I book air and hotel for Vegas. Possibly cheaper than staying in pahrump.

My wife and I took both. They are great classes, take the empty hand first (can be right before if scheduling works out). We will be taking both again during the night 4 July courses.

I did it the other way, as did most of the people in that EW class, and they basically had to scrap most of the knife training to do empty hand basics. The people who HAD taken EH got screwed.
Shoot. I should have asked this question before we had already booked this trip. Looking at the schedule of courses, it looks like EH isn't even offered until AFTER the first EW class this year.

I've had a bit of martial arts training, so I should be alright. It sounds like the whole class will be slowed down by the slower/newer/outta shape participants... I'll report back on my individual experience.

I just got back from a 2 day defensive hand gun course. All I can say is it's excellent. I had limited experience, and by the end of the 2 days I was presenting from a holster and hitting controlled pairs from 7, 10, and 15 meters, also with failure to stop head shots.

They even let us go in the shoot house with the pop up targets which is usually for the more advanced courses. Very fun.

I am planning to go back again. Forget the marketing hype on the website, the instruction is top quality and is what matters most.

I got a deal from a friend who is a member for $75 for the course. Can't really beat that.

Just got back from the 4 day Handgun class, excellent on all points. Just missed getting DG, so I'll have to go back for sure.

I am looking for a couple of additional life time memberships for my wife and son if any one has some.

Glad to hear! I'm looking forward to attending.

I have no way to contact you offline, since your profile doesn't let me send you a pm or an email.

I have contact info for a guy who sells diamond memberships for $250. I do not know him personally, but he hooked me up.

Front Sight's policy is that advertising lifetime memberships for sale online is forbidden. Advertising and selling course certificates is fine.

My father, bro-in-law and myself have diamond memberships we bought last year. We have yet to go but hope to this year.

We are in NorCal so it isn't terribly close. We will either fly there or rent an RV. My preference is the RV since it'll eliminate the car rental, airline tickets, hotel and hassle of flying with guns/ammo. They prefer flying, i prefer RV, it'll be a toss up - but i can't complain as long as we eventually make it there. Can't wait to take the handgun and rifle courses... Looking forward to it!

Ramathorn, you take the RV and let the others fly. You pick them up at McCarren and you all travel up together from the valley. This is how we travel to the NRA National Police Shooting Competition. One or two of us carry all the guns and ammo and drive while the rest of the team flys in, works like a charm.

Anyone going the the 4 day DHG starting March 23? My son and I will be taking the course, it'd be great to hook up with other Cal-Gunners out there.

the weather has been nice. it's been in the low 70s. Today was cloudy and the temp peaked at about 67-68. Tomorrow might be the same, maybe a bit less clouds and a few degrees warmer. wind has been up to around 10-12 mph. temps warming up through the week.

have fun out there!

I couldn't take Monday off work, so my son and I are doing the 2-day practical rifle this weekend, our first class there. Very much looking forward to this experience, including the joy of unscrewing my Raddlock once I arrive in NV!

Just got back from the 2-day shotgun course. The course description says 100 birdshot, 100 buckshot and 20 slugs.

I went through nearly 500 rounds total including 40 slugs. OMG so much fun!!! The canyon was my favorite part by far.

Ditto on the rifle simulators (canyon/ridgetop).

Hitting the deck and picking off distant steel silhouettes from prone with iron-sighted M1A = FUN!

Cool

I'm really excited. Heading up this weekend for the 2 day handgun skill builder and then the edged weapon 2 day on Monday-Tuesday.

Should be a really good time.

Just finished my 2nd day of my first 4-day handgun course. Having only shot action pistol matches for the last 6 months, I've never had any formal training, and I've got to say that I'm learning a whole lot, and having a great time.

I took advantage of their $500 Diamond Membership offer, and will be getting my "bonus diamond membership" along with it in a couple weeks. PM me for more details.

I just got a Diamond membership. Been there for one course so far, a little slow but good. Does anyone know how the 4 day defensive handgun course is? I did the 2-day and It was good, but a little slow. Did it so my wife (girlfriend at the time) and a few buddies' older kids could have a good foundation.

The 4 day is paced like the 2 day but you get to do some extra stuff like the simulator houses and a competition. Jump up to the 2 day skill builder if you want to do more shooting in a faster paced class.

Membership Type: None, a buddy gave me a certificate as a gift
Courses Taken: 4DDH- DG
Next Course: Advanced handgun or possibly the 2 night handgun classes, but I want to do practical rifle, shotgun too.
Comments: Just took the course this past weekend. It blew my expectations out of the water. It was great, the staff were all very impressive, especially our rangemaster Chris (the Greek). Can't wait to go back, once I find a good deal on a membership. I loved it.

Do you think it'd be possible to request to be in his class next time? He is one of the most impressive people I've ever met.
