I emailed both email addresses that were provided in their status update page asking for a refund. A couple days later I get a refund confirmation email from Mike.

So I guess it may take a couple days for them to get to your request and process. But it hasn't shown as being posted in my account yet...

Emailed and CC'd the following addresses:
Mike@aresarmor.com and Stephanie@aresarmor.com

GL everyone!

The joy of living near the storefront. Went in, played nice, asked if any in stock....and all in one day i bought, and milled out my lower.

let the hate flow. face to face, its hard to not have good customer service.

ordered Dec 28 2012 and still waiting. I send in an email for the Quarterly Update and get responses. Most of the days they told me are already passed and still waiting.

I am patient but it really gets irritating to see orders out of sequence.

Seem to be no constancy with who is getting their orders delivered. I ordered 12/31/12 and nothing and there are others that have waited longer. Yet people that ordered after us have gotten their orders fill.

Just a heads-up to all: I ordered mine before all of you that have posted dates recently, and I have yet to receive them. At the time I ordered, the only notification that there was a long backlog was on their "news" page, which I failed to read prior to ordering. There was no notification on the product pages, and they weren't listed as out of stock.

Once I realized that there was a backlog, I asked for a refund and to cancel my order. They refused, citing the policies listed on their website.

I find it extremely troubling that there are people who ordered after I did that have received their orders. It also sounds like some of you guys got refunds and were able to cancel your orders, which I was not able to do.

Based on my own experience, I will not be doing business with Ares Armor in the future.

I am fine with waiting as I am in no particular hurry but when those who have ordered after me receive theirs, that is kinda lame. Especially when they charge already.

I think you should continue to ask for a refund try different channels like call your credit card/bank to refund the payment only way I could see them not giving to a refund would be if you order 100+ I got lucky to get mine and prior to this I always liked ares armor not so much anymore this will be the last ar I build through them.

Brother, this just goes to show what yoyo's these characters are. If you're "in" with their little club, you're good to go. If not, get in line fool!

And yet, after pages and pages of mud slinging, hating on and general pissitivity by a ton of 'Gunners, not a response to be found......

Have you tried installing your LPK yet? Any issues?

Thank you Str8edge for exposing them for who they are.
He bought a billet 80%, not the forged one that everyone is waiting on...

I ordered 3 anodized lowers on 12/27 and the sight said it would be June and my card would be charged at the time of order. It now looks like I might get them in May which would be great. So as of now I have no complaints about Ares. I will repost when I get a shipping notification.

saw this on the ares armor facebook page.

Ares Armor
3 hours ago near Oceanside, CA
We have shipped all of the anodized 80% AR 15's that we had in stock. We have a shipment that is EXPECTED in by May 8th from the anodizing shop. The shipment is enough to fill all of our orders.

so for all of us that have waited patiently(or impatiently in some cases) it looks like we will be getting our stuff soon.

---------Update-----------

I messaged them on facebook earlier today about getting a copy of my receipt because I had somehow managed to lose it(I think I washed it in my jeans after getting home) and asked them when my order might ship. I was told that everything will ship in 1-2 weeks as they are waiting for the lpk(apparently the buffer assembly and anodized lower is there) I ordered on march 9th. so keep hope guys these things are comeing.

So if they are getting 80%s from anodizing to fill all the back orders where is my unanodized paper weight?

to those of you asking about the raw lowers i just saw this on their facebook page:

Ares Armor If you did not a tracking number your order did not ship. We have a another shipment of raw lowers coming in around the same time as the anodized. The AR-10 80% lowers are expected to be here June 1st. We will have enough of those to fill all of the orders as well.

Also I want it to be known that I have exactly zero affiliation with ares armor. I am just another customer that can't wait to get the parts they ordered like everybody else. And if I see some news out there I want to share it.

I think I got lucky by walking in (ordered mid-January). Just finished them last week.

Note that they are not TM! (Which is what I expected)

Is that billet? I was in there yesterday and they have a ton of billet but are still waiting on the forged. I was told another week or so until they get their shipment. Guess we will have to wait and see.

They most definitely didn't have forged when I was in there yesterday unless they are bs'ing me.

How do you know they are not TM? My understanding is that they sell TM's 80%.

Default Know who else sucks?!!?

PCO, Personal Choice Outfitters. Took my order Dec 28th, charged me immediately, of course. For a simple CMMG M4LE! Only the sketchy ones seem to bill so looooong before they ship.

I've heard nothin but excuses since.

Off topic, just wanted to vent...
