Default M1 Garand Feeding Problem

I seem to have a feeding problem with my Garand. After the first shot fired the next round gets caught halfway in the chamber, but a simple smack of the op rod chambers the round. This happens only once or twice in the clip, the remaining ammo chambers perfectly fine. I keep my Garand lubed and the gas plug tight. I use surplus M2 ball, and CMP clips.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Yup. I'm curious if we all got them from Dupage.

Just read your post. Mine is a WW2 Surplus I got at a local gun shop. However I did my tilt test and the bolt and op rod refused to move without a slight tap. I guess I need to file down the FHG.
