Interarms Walther PPK/s 22 lr
Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this version of the PPK.
I have been looking for one for a long time and faith/cash finally brought us together. It comes with the original box and seems like from the 80's. What do you guys think? Last edited by 11MYTOYZ; 01-12-2020 at 10:06 AM.. |

I was traded one in a multi-gun swap. It was a used one built the 80's and it was a jam-o-matic. It turned me off trying another rim fire semiauto pistol for years until I got a Ruger mkii 22/45 which shot every brand without jams all day long.
Try different ammos and see if there's one it likes maybe CCI minimags. |

PPKs 22
I’ve had one for several years, 1969 vintage as I recall.
It has been very reliable with right ammo. Mine particularly likes Remington Thunderbolt, which a lot of people criticize. With most bulk ammo it won’t reliably cycle the slide. Of course CCI mini mag is good to go, but I usually opt for cheaper bulk ammo for plinking with Walter. My wife has an Interarms model in 380 which bites the web of my hand, the .22 doesn’t have that problem at all. It is one of the pistols I usually take when I get to the range, just too much fun and history to pass up. |

The gun is likely a Manurhin made PPK/S showing French proof marks (St. Etienne; 'Made under licence of...'), probably made around 1980.
It will likely run fine on CCI ammo. But others may be finicky. Did you buy it? Pics kinda hard to tell but get a better pic with better lighting and can tell more. |

Classic Firearms has them now. They look great. But not on roster. So have a good cry....

I bought one new in 1990.. the Interarms TPH.. solid stainless but like it's big .380 stainless brother it would consistently stovepipe or ftf.. sold the TPH on commission at Annie's Get Your Gun in Corona for $350 and sold the .380 here in Utah at a KMart parking lot.

I don't understand why they would make a PPK/s instead of a PPK since it's USA made. No import restrictions.

I've had a Walther PP in 22lr for decades---very reliable pistol with most any 22lr high velocity ammo---I tend to shoot CCI Mini Mags thru this pistol with 100% reliability... Mine was proofed in 1969.

I have one of the newest versions and it functions flawlessly with cici mm. It also has a threaded barrel so easy to suppress. The d/a trigger pull on my example is horrendous, like probably the hardest of any handgun i’ve ever tried, it makes an old hk vp70z trigger seem like a match trigger. Single action is great though. PPK’s of any variety and vintage are cool in my book. I’d jump on it if you’ve wanted one for a long time or sure.
