I think I'm one of those paranoid type of guys but don't you belive that just because this is the internet you are protected by anonymity. If you have the time to read the 73 pages of this thread: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=399203 You can learn how regular folks can track someone over the Internet. That thread gives you a very good idea how the Internet anonymity is a thing of the past! YMMV
Call me crazy, but I just read all 73 pages. Hilarious stuff that is all too familiar to me being that we have our fair share of assclowns on my forum that receive the same "special attention" that Mr. Wenzel received.

VERY easy to track someone you have exchanged personal info with, as in the Wenzel case. Money and product back and forth nets a lot of location data.

Ahh I get it now, thanks Jeff. So this does not utilize a spacer like the sporting conversions kit.... I am guessing that the washer keeps the nut from going inside of teh lower erceiver. So if you over torque the nut is it possible to ruin the receiver?

you'd be shocked. some A-hole mod on another forum gave my info to the Sherf. Dept. They only gave them my IP addy and they tracked me down and showed up on my sidewalk. Reason? Everyone was talking cr@p about one LEO and i said "he deserves an arse beating" and my avatar at the time was the sniper from saving private ryan. They said because of that they were "WORRIED" wtf. they have nothing better to do... So watch yourself buddy~

Then, say they do get the court order because so and so does not have a fixed mag or something like that (like they are going to waste their time on that one) and Calguns does not put up a fight and just hands over the email address. And then your ISP will have to cough up the info (has anyone read today's LA Times about Google and the US GVT)?

Who can tell us the last time (or first time) they heard a story about one guy getting tracked down, court order after court order due to a firearm?

You always need to be careful in life, but please, some people are way to paranoid here. On the other hand, no reason to wave your come and get me flag.

Just one person's humble opinion.

I bought a whole rifle kit, it is the same upper except is has m4 handguards and a side-sling, also at the time they were backordered on Wilson barrels and I had to get a DPMS barrel. Haven't had any problems with it yet.

When you "quote", can you please don't quote the "IMG" part? Or delete what is within the IMG part? So it will not be multiples of the same pic....

Waiting on some fundage so I can get a 1x7, chrome-lined, Govt profile 20" to finish the A4, then I'll post some completed pics.

Floorance, how do you like that forward grip/bipod? I've read good things about them, but have never handled one.

Does it seem too large?

Does it quickly and easily deploy and retract?

The grip is real nice, its not actually large at all (looks bigger in pictures). It deploys real fast, practially shoots out. It seems pretty sturdy, and can attach and detach to the rails by simply turning a knob. I find it basically takes care of two birds with one stone. I have a grip and a bipod. I bet for those who have grips from tango down etc, taking those things off to load their Cal-legal rifles must be a PITA.

a little OT, but could these be practical for competitions and such? It just doesn't seem like they would, haveing to break the rifle open to load it and all.

That's right. It's a 16" with a suppressor collar, not a welded muzzle brake.

Finally put one of these things together. Got an Oly upper from a fellow calgunner, and put one of my Stag lowers together with an RRA NM trigger lpk. I've been staring at it all day as it's been raining outside. Hopefully the rain will clear soon and I can take her out.

Here's a pic of my new rifle along with it's little siblings:

The scope and rings actually came with the upper (I'm not sure on the brand for the rings, but they are rock solid and I get very comfortable eye relief in the first notch with the that forward stance). The scope's a Bushnell Sportster 4x-12x, though it seems pretty nice for a low end scope. I haven't gotten a chance to take it out and sight it in, but I'll give a report once I put some rounds through it.

It's cool to see some folks build up from stripped Vulcans. My brother-in-law built up from a Vulcan and his rifle worked great. I keep telling people the V-15 lowers can build a good rifle and you should get them if you can't get anything else.

The only Vulcan gear I got was two Carbon Fiber V-15s (soon to be retired) and an HAR-25.
