No, Auto Mall Durham is in Fremont, Alameda County doesn't carry any. Milpitas Wal-Mart is off McCarthy Ranch.

plenty of wwb 40's&9's at stkn walmrt. No 45's at all. That badboy is sure hard to come by even though it's more $$$ than 9/40....huh, I wonder why?.....................

I used to post something in the original Wally World thread every time I saw ammo. Lately I haven't been doing this. I've noticed that the past few months ammo has been really plentiful as far as what's in stock...WWB .45 and bulk packs included- which is a change from about a year ago when everything was rarely in stock.

I bought a few boxes of their Federal .45 and noticed that they use small pistol primers. Just a heads up for anybody else who reloads.

I think it's about time for my annual Walmart trip.
What's the price on 12GA Federal #7 1/2 and #8 Game Shot 1290FPS birdshot?

Not sure.. I wasn't looking at the shotgun stuff since it seems that they always have some kind of 12Ga variation on the shelfs. If I had the time I would have taken some notes.

I went back for more .45 today and saw a Federal 9mm/.40 safety notice at the register? I tried to look for it on the Federal site but didn't see anything. (wrong cal ammo in the boxes) so check your ammo!

Can someone explain to me why one would buy ammo in brick and mortar stores in small quantities? Prices are usually higher than online, you have to pay tax, the selection is more limited. Why not buy in bulk online?

The City of Sacramento has a local ordinance that requires all ammunition dealers to keep a log of purchases, with the buyer's name, address, and thumbprint; and the ammo is behind the counter (think pharmacy.) Yes, this denies criminals from making a anonymous purchase; but it does force criminals to go out of the City to buy ammo. One of the unattended consequences of this is that many out of state vendors believe that they must comply with this local ordinance (according to CGF and Hoffmang with a response from the city http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/archive/index.php/t-246494.html , they do NOT) and in effect they don't sell at all to residents of the City of Sacramento. Some take it even further and deny the entire county. Sent from my mobile using Tapatalk Last edited by SouperMan; 03-27-2012 at 1:44 PM.. |
