Nah - Grew up on a farm in Wisconsin.
Got my first 30-06 at 15 - No big deal. Everyone had firearms. And no crime...

Nice choice for a first gun!
Mine was a Marlin 795.

My FIRST, was a Daisy BB gun my dad got me when I was 8.
The first I bought, was a Polytech Legend AK in 1988. My first pistol, was a S&W 1006, in 1991. Why I waited until I was 24 to get a pistol, I have no idea. |

For your first gun, that's pretty sick.
Mine was a Baby Eagle .45ACP. Still got it.

Dang....let me think..
Also had a Daisy Pump lever BB gun.... First firearm was a no name .25 auto bought in a display case at a Gas Station in Tulsa Oklahoma for $30. The thing fired about 25 rounds before the firing pin broke clean in two. This was during my time at a Flight School.....age 18... Moved to Washington State, had to be 21 and on my 21st birthday bought a brand new Walter P-38 (interarms) for $115. Same gun as the guys on a series called Man From Uncle carried. I guess that's why I wanted it. BTW..later that week (up in Washington State) after my 21st Birthday I went over to the Auburn Police Department and applied for my Concealed Weapons Permit. They took my prints, no photo and my information and a week later they called me to go pick it up. No interview, and the good cause statement was 'travel and sports' which was told to me by the officer and the most common reason. Simple. Be well, Bob It ran good, however.

My first "sort of" gun was a Daisy Red Ryder in 1971, I was 8 years old.
My first "real" gun was a Kmart single shot .20ga Brazilian no-name that is still in my gun safe. Very reliable, accurate and I paid $79.00 for it when I was 18 in 1981. My wife and daughter have both shot trap with it and did pretty well at 16 yards. |

Yeah my first gun was a pellet gun I suppose.. but first actuall gun gun is this python I picked up last week... Paid a pretty penny for it too... Wow you guys still have your very first guns, im guessing it has sentimental value, this python is going to stay for sure. Sorry you had to sell your hk 45c to fund that surgery, but I give you much props for acting unselfishly good man!

My dad gave me a Winchester model 69 .22 rifle when I was 6 yrs. old. He cut down the stock so I could reach the trigger. When I was 8 he gave me a Ruger single-six .22 revolver.
The first gun I actually bought was my Dad's M1 Garand, for $50 when I was 16 |

I remember it like it was yesterday.
Walmart, 1993, Southern California. Mossberg 500 with 26" slug barrel. Awesome shotgun. Later sold it to help finance a Ruger P90 or was it P91, in .40 S&W.
