Default Need help reloading 9mm

So I'm about to start reloading 9mm for the first time and I will be using WST Powder and 124gr Xtreme round nose projectiles. Haven't seen a ton of data for WST, but I've been advised to use 3.2-3.8gr to start (working up from 3.2gr) and use 1.1-1.15 OAL. Anyone have any recommendations for this powder/projectile combination for OAL and how many gr. to use? I'm looking to hit 131PF for IPSC out of a G17. Thanks in advance!

With 124gr I run COAL at 1.150 but can help you with the powder, never used it before. Personally I use HS-6 or Power Pistol

With the Xtreme 124gr RN, I used to load at 1.140 coming out of my M&P9.

Using CCI SPP and loading WST, I had to stuff a bit more powder in the case to make PF than you're looking at. Work up your loads, chrono as you go, but don't be too surprised if you get into the 4.0gr weights.

There is no published data for WST and the 124gr bullets, so work carefully

1.15" is a little long for glocks and not necessary for that powder burn speed range. But whatever works. Sign up on brianenos.com and check out the 9mm loading section. You can ask anything you want about loading for uspsa/ipsc an there will be an answer there.

I did see a few 4.0gr at 1.135" i havent found the need to load longer han 1.135" for a glock even with slower powders.

Just a suggestion if you're looking to make minor try a heavier bullet and faster powder.

That is good, but you can go higher. WST is good stuff. Obviously you will have ladder loads, but you might find yourself closer to 4.5gr or higher in the end.

WST is kinda like WSF but WSF seems more common. But follow the proper procedures as are in the books and you should develop a few loads that you will like. I can not help with PF sorry.
