Interesting...my local stores limit purchase to 6 boxes...doesn't matter how many rounds per box either...

Yeah, not all stores follow that policy. The one in Gilroy I know does which doesn't make it an ideal place for me to buy ammo if I was interested in buying more than 5 boxes of AE .223. Now if I wanted Fed 100 round bulk packs, that's another story but Gilroy almost never seems to have stock when I'm in the area. Milpitas, as far as I recall, never had that policy which makes it great for last minute ammo purchases for classes or just to casually buy a box or two for the stock pile. Not sure about Mt View as I'm rarely near that particular store.

Glad our Walmart doesn't have restrictions on how may boxes you buy.

The limit is at each store's discretion. They only set limits if a bunch of people complain about others buying large quantities and they get left with zilch to buy.

I think in our case, the Salinas stores don't get much inventory so they don't have much of anything to start with so that ration it.

However, I was also told I could walk out and walk back in and buy more if I really wanted to.

Man, since when did the 50 round packs of federal go to 12.97? With tax I wonder if it would be better to order online.

How much for the 100 packs of 9mm is it WWB. I won't buy WWB. I saw that the 50 round federal 9mm went to $13 a box, it used to be $10 sucks. I may just buy online when I find good deal.

I don't know why they price those at $12.97 when you can buy the 100rnd packs for $19.97 as

It looks like the 100 packs went up by $3 now . Someone above said they just bought some for $23. Unless they were factoring in tax.

Was just there yesterday and it's more like $24 before tax for WWB 100 packs.

A lot of people post about issues with the WWB blowing up their pistols and having the incorrect OAL. Is it still a good deal and is the ammo usually good just a few problems due to being produced in bulk.

The WWB has always been a few dollars more than Federal. Just wait for them to stock the Fed 100 rnd value packs. Those are still $19.97 as far as I know.

Thanks, I just bought the last 3 boxes of the Winchester 100 round value pacts. They have the 50 round boxes of Winchester and federal and American eagle.

P.S. FYI I did not see and of the ammo cans there.

Price is still the same for Fed 100 rnd packs at $19.97. They just don't last very long on the shelves so if someone posts here that they're available, you better head on down.

As in they don't sell ammo at all or out of particular ammo?

I checked on-line, and it looks like the Walmart in Martinez-1021 Arnold Dr Martinez, carries ammo.

Anyone have any experience with the Martinez Walmart? Or anyplace in Contra Costa to get ammo for cheap? I know Big 5 carries a limited amount and is fairly expensive.

Will need to start getting my hands on some ammo!!!

Thanks!!!!

Martinez Walmart doesn't sell ammo. You need to go to American Canyon Walmart to get some ammo.

Remington UMC 250 mega packs 9mm 115gr for $72.99 at Big 5. Still pricey compared to online but when you feel that urge to go to the range and walmart is out.

I stopped by around 3pm on Saturday and there were still about 20 boxes of the Federal 9mm 100-rd value packs left. I picked up 5 and according to the clerk, they were on track to sell out by 5:00. Good luck, armsmen!

Just called the nearest non-communist WallyWorld to see if they had anymore Federal 100rd 45's in stock and they said no...but said they had WWB 100rd value packs in stock for like $39.97 or something. Anyone know if that price is correct? The price on WWB seems to keep going up...

WWB used to be $36.97. It is now indeed $39.97. That is why the federal .45 $29.97 100-pack is selling so fast.
