Anything is possible just depends on barrel availability

STI pistols are virtually unobtainium here in the Golden State. The Spartan is a good value. STI takes the Rock Island from the Phillipines and lets their pistol builders go at it. Here is a link:
http://www.stiguns.com/guns/Spartan/Spartan.php

Here are a couple of reviews:
http://media.stiguns.com/USPress/Com...08_Spartan.pdf
http://ezine.m1911.org/STISpartan_frame.htm

It comes in .45 ACP and 9mm and is perfect for IDPA CDP or ESP divisions or USPSA Single Stack division.

Mike can you get these?

Thanks,
Keith

Referring to the single shot expemption. Once you convert that back doesn't it make it illegal now? Since they DROS it as a single shot gun?

Thanks "PolishMike" for your insight. I have been researching how I could do this legally. I am looking to get a XDm 40 3.8 Black.

From what I have read I can do these 3 options:

1. Purchase from a LEO - It's just symantics on whether it is a "straw purchase" or not right?

2. Have my father in TX "gift" it to me. - I understand the 10 round mag requirement. (will get mags blocked before he sends to FFL here in cali or I could have him ship mags here unassembled and have them blocked here)

3. Single Shot Conversion - many threads already listed on how and where you can get this done.

If I had all 3 choices available to me, which I do, which would be the easiest and cheapest? Buds last price for military/fire/LE was 519.00 but O/S currently. (in Choice 2 I would obviously be buying the gun not my dad )

Sorry If I didn't introduce myself - Newbie Here,

Sean (kuma32shaq) from Riverside, CA

I think the easiest, although probably not the cheapest is to get it through a single shot conversion. I am testing a barrel now, hopefully they will be good to go at the end of next week

Thank You PolishMike for making it possible to get my M&P 9L.

My next purchase will more than likely bring me to you for the great things you do for us non-leo, non-free-state guys.

Your shop rocks!!

Hey Mike-

Are you single shoting the 9L, or just adding the mag disconnect and putting a compliant slide on it for DROS. Are you doing the 40 PRO 5"?

Thanks
