Question Grand Canyon West Rim

Do they recognize Arizona CCW Permit?

G2G or NO?

You'll need to check with the Nation that controls that area.

I already checked and they have no information.

But I found some answers here:

Quote:
Hualapai Tribe

The Grand Canyon Skywalk is owned by the Hualapai Tribe. They do not have their ordinances online. Their Tribal website and the Skywalk website do not mention firearms or weapons. I have two reports now that firearms are not permitted. One reported the following:

“The Skywalk building had no such signs. But, within the Skywalk building, there is a separate corridor to the walkway. At the entrance to that corridor, there is a metal detector and a staff member with a hand wand..”

It’s pretty rural and spread out. I’ve carried there recently and not once ever was concerned.

Other than on state/fed highways and gas stations along the route etc... I tend to agree.

Which one? Not the AM/PM as far as I know but I only know that station even exists because we had a friend having bike trouble and he was getting really lousy mileage. I'm pretty sure it's been discussed here and safe passage along state and federal highways and fuel stops at the exits are generally considered ok but I could certainly be wrong.

Now if it's a gas station off into town, yeah I wouldn't even consider carrying there.

due to a fed treaty with the native pop of this land. you as a American citizen can travel through reservation land, and only so many feet off the main rd, and be almost good to go. but if you go anyplace away from the hwy or main roads, tribal law is superior.
this includes restaurants, stores, gas/service stations, etc.

so plan your food, fuel stops according.

Nope.

Except for Tribes located in Public Law 280 States, it's up to it's Tribe to determine if they will honor or not.

In Public Law 280 States (Alaska, California, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oregon, & Wisconsin), State criminal laws applies to Tribal lands located in those State.
^So, if the State honors, then the Tribal lands in that State also honors.

I was just there and they have a metal detector at there door. Right before you park they will ask if you have a gun/ firearm in your car. I have carried until i got out of my car super nice people in there and the view is spectacular. Worth the trip.

So you can’t have one in your car?
