Default What rings should I get for my Mueller 4.5-14x40mm AO APV Rifle Scope

I'm pretty much set on getting this Mueller for my new Ruger 10/22.

Now I need to figure out what rings I should get for it though? What do you all recommend?

I'm running the same scope on my 10/22. After a lot of reading I ended up with these: http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Burr.../bur420521.htm
And they work great.

They also make a set of alignment inserts so you don't run out of range on your scope

Good choice. Don't forget to order the insert kit to dial in the scope vertically as close as possible before using the scopes adjustment. I have Sig Zee's in a traditional base, some like it some don't.

You should look into a DNZ one piece mount in low. I have it on my 10/22 bull barrel and with the scope covers on it's almost touching. Rock solid imo.

I have a couple DNZ's and they are a really nice mount, but...if you shoot beyond 75 yards, you could run out of adjustment on your scope vertically. .22's tend to drop rapidly after 75 yards. The rifles I have DNZ's on never go past 75. They are rock solid, for sure.

Should be a bit more beyond 75 yards that you start needing tons of elevation. It's beyond 100 where things start getting ridiculous and you need to consider a mount with some MOA built in, and then hold overs.

BKL makes some really good rimfire mounts.

I have a 261 holding up my Mueller Eraticator, on a Bullpacker stock with a Feddersen barrel.

It works well, I was amusing myself by shooting out all of the red at 25 yards this morning. Didn't win any stuffed animals though.
