Bought a Lee manual reloading kit for 45Colt - no lg primers
I want to get my feet wet and powder and bullets seem available.
The prob is that lg pistol primers (cci or win - no federal please) are avail only in huge qtys. Any ideas? And yes this the worst possible time to start but I don't care. More of a learning adventure than a NEED. Thanks.... Im talking about 100 primers. |

You should be able to find LPP in 1k but you'll be paying shipping and hazmat on just one box. Where you at? I just got a few thousand primers and may be willing to sell you 100 if you're local and we could meet up. Shoot me a PM

Are those $100 case prep motorized tools worth it?
OK, I've always wondered if the RCBS trim mate case prep center (or other brand equivalents) are worth getting.
Now, I do have a cheapo drill press. Are the case prep thingies just a couple of rotating tools that I could easily replicate by chucking up the same tools in the drill press? Or is it convenient to have all the tools rotating at the same time so you can fully prep up one piece of brass instead of doing one "stage" of prep at a time? yes, for pistols, not worth it. How about rifle brass prep? Thanks for your opinions! |
