Is anyone in monterey county listing an off roster such as Gen 4 glocks or G43 as their registered carry weapon? I know this varies depending on the county.

My timeline so far:

10/21/2018 - Submitted app
01/28/2019 - Interview (bumped up from 02/06/2019 originally)
04/22/2019 - Called to follow up with investigator. He stated that he hadn't gotten to my file yet and to try calling back in a few weeks.

Anybody else currently waiting?

My references still haven't heard anything even after following up by phone many times now, so I'm assuming my application has been lost. I'm going to send a letter asking them what I should do from here. On each phone call I was told that the previous investigator handling my application had left the department and that my references would hear something within a couple of weeks.

No, at least they didn’t for me last year. No employers either, which is lucky because I work with some very “progressive” people who don’t even think the police should be armed, and whose idea of “child abuse” is giving a 10 year old a BB gun.

Just your references, and they do ask them some questions so pick them carefully.

Finally received my permit. It took almost 12 1/2 months from submitting my application on July 2, 2018.
