Default Pistol mag ID?

Anybody have a clue what these are for? 9mm, 1911 style, but narrower.
They fit in a star 9mm pistol, just dont lock in place.

More pics and info in a post 4

Take pics of the followers and baseplates and feed lips and spine. Bonus if you measure from the top of the mag to the top of the catch slot.

necro bump - completely forgot I posted this thread.

More info for the guessing game if anyone still cares.

Single stack - 18rd capacity on the shorter 2, 20 on the 3rd.
8 1/2" and 8 7/8th" overall lengths.

Top of the mag to the catch slot is 1 13/16th on all 3

Whew..............

From the title of this thread I thought new legislation was being proposed to serialize/register magazines.

For future reference "help me identify these magazines" is less alarming :-)

The lack of any markings makes me think they might be Spanish. ( if you're taking lots of siestas little things like trademark stamps and maker's stampings aren't that important.)

But more importantly if you already know that...

"They fit in a star 9mm pistol, just don't lock in place."

Why don't you just place one of them side-by-side with a Star pistol mag ( assuming you have one and the pistol to go with it. )

And then carefully copy / cut out a New small hole on the front side of the mag? Just very carefully drill and Dremel the exact same type of locking notch hole.
That way it would work in what you already have available , rather than trying to find where they actually do belong.
Because if you don't know what they fit that implies you don't already have one of those pistols.

Just my two cents.

^ I forgot to add... Only do that type of operation where and when you are legally allowed.
Or find someone who can do it when and where they are legally allowed to do it, if you don't think it's something you want to take on.

( * My attorney's lawyer's legal counselors makes me post these warning statements. )

Can we get a pic of the LEFT side of the mag so we can see the cutout around the follower on that side? It may offer some clues.

Also, what Star does this sort of fit in - a Model B or similar, or a newer model like a Firestar?

It looks similar to a model B mag but need to see left side at follower/ feed lips.

A newer Firestar is what they were tested in.
