Default IMR powder recipe

Turners sold me some IMR SR4756 to reload 45 Auto. I can't find it in my book. I need to load 158 gr and 220 gr bullets. Does anyone have any info on this??
Thanks

In a 230gr ball 7.4gr. max from IMR powder guide, I didn't know they made a 158gr. for .45? This is max. reduce by 10% & work up.

Go to the Hodgdon reloading site. They have load data for your powder in similar weight bullets, just use start loads in each weight class and work up.

Good luck, have fun.

It is always a good idea to buy powder without knowing what it can be used for. Newbie

I bought it because the guy behind the counter said that it made a good load and I wasn't able to ask him how much he used. Yeah I am new, but I was assured that it was the right stuff and as it turns out it is ok. I usually use bullseye but I can't get that right now. I was just looking to the experts here for a little help, sorry I ruined your day.

4756 is perfect for trap or dove 20 gauge, or high base 12 gauge duck and pheasant.
