Default Recomendations for Hard as Hell Multigun UT

Does anyone have any recommendations on gear, set up, equipment or things to prepare for the JP Hard as Hell in Utah at the end of the month?

Tactical Division

Set up my m16 style rifle with a 1-8 w/ 200y zero with (relatively accurate) bullet drop compensation for holds at distance. free float barrel with a corvette break and a ruger two stage trigger with a fixed stock.

Have Stoeger m3k freedom extension (bone stock becsue I didnt have time to have it milled) with 10rd tube. Running two safariland Model 086 Double - 8 Shotgun Shell Holder and one or two Mod 85 4x shotshell holders.

Glock 34 limited gun,

Safari land belt with ELS system.

I have a vtac sling for the rifle and need ine for the shotgun still.

Anything you can add to get or think about would be appreciated.

Bring handwarmers. Verify slug zero at 50 or 75 yd if possible.

Apparently this year there won't be rifle targets beyond 100 yards (although there will be 2" steel targets at 100 yards). But I also heard that there are some 250 yard slug targets this year.

I'd say biggest gear needs for HaH is a pistol holster with retention and lots of shotgun caddies (preferably a caddie vest that you can put on when needed. For the shotgun sling, you should be able to add a QD plate between the stock and receiver as well as one to the barrel clamp. Then just get a sling with 2 QD points and you'll be good.

Do people need specialized gear to shoot that match? Wouldn't your regular Tactical Optics / Tactical Irons setup work just fine?

Dress warm. I've heard good things about the versatility of the Vickers Tactical Slings.

Well it’s a much more “tactical” match than most with higher round counts and a lot more obstacles than any match you’ll see. If be supprized if there wasn’t long range targets. I’m not running trooper division, that’s the one that requires the most gear in addition to a regular Loadout because your have to wear a plate carrier and carry all your crap.

Awesome match and the best stage design in this sport every year. Round count is high this year. So you get quality and quantity this time. Need to check my slug POI at 200 and 250 yards before the next HaH match.
