Honestly, I would say a .22 Lr is a better option

Several new 22 rimfire semi auto pistols with full size striker style controls came out at shot show.

To your question, what do your 2-3 local ranges allow?
Muzzle discipline can be harder to enforce with a springer or pump pistol.

Co2 conversions are great on some old pumps.

Mac1 airtime is a great air gun builder/ fixer.

They resoldiered the barrel on a Sheridan blue streak and bumped the power up 50%

So help narrow down the pistol options
Does it need to resemble your real gun at all?
Length
Weight
Type- CO2 cartridge, co2 tank, pump, pcp or springer

Fits a holster?

Smith & Wesson M&P Airgun (Medium)
This is an accurate physical replica of the M&P firearm by Smith & Wesson. It can fit the same holsters that are made for firearms, which makes it the best choice of a gun to practice with. The gun is accurate to standard handgun distance of 25 feet. This means that you can shoot at your targets with double or even triple taps using it.

If you love shooting, you will have lots of fun shooting this air gun. It is accurate, efficient and uses CO2. It also propels steel BBs up to 480 fps. This gun is very easy to rapidly acquire target with its fiber optic rear sight and its white dot front sight.

If you want to practice better, you will master holster drills and target acquisition so easily using this air pistol. It is basically a handgun for responsible target shooting. It has a manual safety, double action trigger that is very close to the actual handgun and fixed front and rear optic sights. These are meant to make target acquisition and shooting without fail easy for you.

Its 19-round magazine clears the grip frame. A quick push of the magazine release button will drop the 19-round stick-style magazine free from the bottom of the grip. This makes it easy for you to load the metal-constructed magazine.

Rifled pellet guns will be more accurate
Smooth bore BB will have more variation.

At paper, off hand.

With accuracy being the top thing I am looking for.

What brand and model should I be looking at.?.

Trying to stay around 200.00

What cal. 177. Or ?..

Thanks
You're warming up, offhand. What type of event are you warming up for? And more importantly, what gun will you be warming up for?
Is this just to conserve ammo before casual shooting?
What do you want to spend?
How much accuracy are you looking for? Do you want a gun that can hold the 10 ring on a ten meter air pistol target?
If so,
