Im looking to get a decent priced but worth while Bi Pod. Mainly to zero my rifle. Anything would be great..

i just bought one of these, took it out shooting this last weekend. it has an allen screw that allows it to swivel which i dont like. but it can be easily taken out and locktited which i would recommend. other than that it is great, its a very nice piece and i have no complaints. if you look at midwayusa.com right now the caldwell bipod is on sale from $40 something to $20. i would get one of those two.

also this is the wrong forum to post this in. general gun discussion, or one of the riffle forums is the proper place for this post. welcome to Calguns.

Cash and carried mine from a local paintball store of all places. $30 out the door, w/ rail adapter. You don't have to locktite if you just screw down the adjust knob all the way, but the harris nipple does "float" if that's what you mean as well. But yes, it can be either a swivel or locked in place bipod. (Or was that my NCStar Bipod?)

Check out the Caldwell XLA bipod with pivot. The 6"-9" is typically the best size for bench or prone shooting. The Blackhawk bipods are pretty decent to, and come with a locking lever for the pivot function.

Rather than a seperate adaptor for the picatinny rail, I'd suggest installing a simple stud on the forend for the bipod to attach to.

I have an atlas v8 with the adm mount and it is by far the best bipod I have ever used, if you're willing to spend a little I strongly recommend it. Also retains its value really well

+1 on the Atlas. You can move it from rifle to rifle. $$ well spent. Buy once cry once.
