Can someone please tell RacingJason to turn his damn power generator off.

What a freaking nuisance to all our event attendees.

Default 10th Super Secret Zombie Shoot aniversary....... November 8-10/2019.....

Thank You CALGUNS,

Mr. Lone Wolf plan and execution was excellent. This barren piece of desert was turned into a neighborhood. The hospitality of Jason and Angelina is wonderful. Thank for welcoming me so warmly.

Saturday morning, the truck battery had become quite discharged and wouldn’t start. A twenty yard walk to a campsite resulted in a jump within minutes, I can’t remember your name, but thanks for that and your RSO duties.

Familiar and new faces on the line is the result of the work put into this event. Thordo thanks for the opportunity to win one of your stocks, when I heard about the challenge, originally to be a 3 inch gong at 400, my wife said to me, that I could be the fluke that hits it. Well it was at 270 iirc and I got to message my wife that I am the fluke she married!

Richard, I do enjoy your company and hope to see you there for years to come. You , Johann and I turned Roy into a manageable package with several magazines of slugs and buckshot. What the zombie firing squad started, we finished. Yes Richard, we got those 12 gauges hot and I am looking forward to doing it all again with you guys.

Thanks, Donn

Can't thank everyone enough that did a shift as an RSO. Big thanks to Nick and Paul our new RSOs. Hope they will help again next year. What a great safe event and it just keeps getting better and better.

Moon rise

There was a bright almost-full moon on Saturday night.
It made it much easier when walking (stumbling) through the rocks at night.

I don't know too many of you by sight and I didn't want to take anybody's picture in case they were concerned about privacy.

What a great event, good food and good company make for really good times!

Had a great time even though I didn't fire a single shot. Good to put some faces to screen names and hang out with a few that I had met before. Thanks for letting me crash your camp guys. You know who you are.

This is the Winner of the Palmetto State Armory AR 5.56 Carbine kit donated by GunsR4us for this event.
His name is Robbie and I forgot his Dads name as well as the last name. (help me Nick)
Turns out he is Nubruns neighbor so he'll have some solid guidance with the assembly process.
Nubrun told me that Alan Thordsen of Thordsen Customs fame gave him a stock to top off the build. Thank you Alan.

Robbies Dad was telling me that when his ticket number was called all Robbie could do was stand there and shake. He does not display much in the way of excitement but winning this dropped that facade. Look at that smile, he never stopped the whole time taking pictures.
I did dress him up in a Zombie Shooters shirt and the ball cap he was wearing had to go in favor of a genuine Calguns logo cap.

Looking forward to seeing the build progress and of course the first shot with your first rifle.
Congratulations RobbieHope to see you out there with your Carbine at the next SSZS.

What finer way is there than to get your first EBR at a CalGuns event?
Dad and son have some good times ahead...first it's off to DROS a lower, then the build, choosing the accessories and optics, the initial break in, the sight in of the optics and finally pewpewpew all day long.
And of course, it needs to be proudly shown at the next SSZS.

So cool!

I want to say Thank you to ALL who brought the delicious homemade casseroles and other goodies for the superb Potluck Feast we had on Saturday. Kevin, the meatloaf was excellent, do it again Please. RacinJason, the chili was great, this is first year I got a full cup of it rather than scrapings off the bottom.

Bakofan thanks again for al the Grill work you, I think we Voted you as the Best Cook and installed you into the permanent position of Exhalted Grill Master Or was that just for the CL area?

I do not know who brought what but I can say all I had was great, Thank you.

Walking back to the CL area I came across a couple guys standing in the road, looked like they were just BS'ing. A few minutes later a truck pulled up in front of them. It was then I realized the driver attempted to go cross ways across the road and got hung up.

The truck pulled him out of the problem
Driving a low slung vehicle like your automobile off the primary path of established travel is a recipe for problems.
Posting this to drive home the point of being aware of where you are at and what you're driving.

It was an interesting few minutes

I'd like to thank Eat Dirt and his Dad for welcoming me into their mobile desert home this last weekend. As well as feeding me and dealing with my in and out comings and goings.

Also RacinJason and Angelina for morning coffee and a good BS sessions with John, Todd and Kelly. Coffee hit the morning spot.

Billsinca and his wife Patty, she feeds me Fireball and I lost Friday night somewhere in the Haze. Thank you for the food and breakfast burrito, your son is a hoot
I thought I floated back to Eat Dirt's mobile home but as it turns out apparently Nubrun and Rob?Terry? assisted in getting me safely home

I did not get the name of the family that was tending to the pig roasting all day Saturday. Met them at the booth and then sat with them and had a Pepsi, thank you.

Remembering names in such a short time frame is tough but faces we'll remember the next time we meet.
Sitting at the family breakfast table and having conversation is tops in my book, it is as it should be.

I met quite few more people this time out and many around the booth with great conversations. I love this place we call Calguns, its family.

It was indeed a Great weekend,

Vick

That was an incredible event... we will be making it a regular plan going forward, and now I have a good idea how to set up next time. Fortunately, Richard was kind enough to share his spot (hog it, actually, for the first couple of sessions) with Donnie, Anessa and I and I can’t express how much that was appreciated! Also, and especially, for letting me load all of my gear in his Suburban rather than having to lug it on foot - that was a life saver!

Great meeting a bunch of the crew - everyone was very nice and friendly and it was such a pleasure being surrounded by like-minded individuals!

And what a treat to get to meet and hang with Kalisurfer - thanks for the stories and interesting conversation.

Last thanks goes to all who sponsored, volunteered, and otherwise contributed to this event - you all did yourselves proud and it far exceeded my expectations.
