I loaded about 80 rounds of .38 special a few days ago using bullets I cast and my own batch of lube. The lube consists of beeswax, crisco and olive oil. While melting and mixing it in a coffee can, it smelled like breakfast!

Tonight I did 200 rounds of .38 special using Bullseye and 125gr Hornady FP/XTP bullets. Now I have to figure out why the primer arm is hitting the shell holder on the down stroke of my Lee Classic Cast turret press...http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/i...s/confused.gif

Primed 400+ .44 Magnum cases, plus about 100 .44 Special cases.

Getting ready to load up the blemished .44 Mag 240gr JHP I got from Midway.

I cannot see any blemishes or other defects with the bullets.

Just did the same, except with 4.7gr HP38, 230g Berrys Copper RN, and a 1.255 /.471 Dim.

Shoots nice and flat in even a Glock 21. Flawless and accurate in our 1911's.

How about a buck and ball load. One Lee 1 oz slug and three pieces of OO buck. The next picture shows the accuracy results at 25 yards. The target is 8.5x11.
[IMG][/IMG]
The +'s show where the buck shot hit.

More 9s and .223, I need a chrony. 25.0 gr 4895 and 4.2 and 4.6 bullseye. 4.6 has a nice pop to it. 4.2 very manageable and saves on powder nice plinking round. The hp38/win231, h335 shortage has opened my mind and expanded my reloading horizons...there is life after hodgdon.

Tested my first 9mm loads last night - all went bang, and fed ok.
124gr Xtreme HP's @1.155"

4.4gr W231 - very soft, grouped quite well
4.6gr W231 - felt about the same, but did not group nearly as well.

Interestingly Lyman's rate 4.4gr as max load for 125gr bullet.
My 115gr WWB factory ammo had a lot more recoil than the above.
Next will try 4.8gr

Cut down and formed 300+ .300 AAC Blackout cases from some TZZ 5.56mm cases. Now to trim them to final length with the WFT trimmer.
