turners-reseda
so i was in today in search for some fishing gear (new rod/reel etc). Now usually ive had great customer service there so i was hoping to get the same. after browsing around for a while i found a rod i wanted but since reels are behind a glass case, obviously i needed help to check one out/buy one. I go to the front counter with rod in hand and a manager walks up with a customer who is picking up what seemed like a new pistol. Manager asks me if i needed help and i told him yes that i wanted to check out a few reels. Manager then tells me that the fishing guy isnt in and blah blah blah...If hes a manager how hard is it for him to get his lazy *** over there and quickly show me the two reels i wanted so i can buy one of them. completely ticked me off

i'm an avid fisherman too and it does seem they're more focused on their gun sales. i used to go to turner's for fishing gear but not anymore. it looks like they only have one guy working at the fishing dept.

I was annoyed cuz I really wanted to test out the feel of a reel before purchasing one but I just went off of online reviews and a friends opinion and bought a reel from sports authority...what's the point of Turner's having a fishing section if they won't bother helping someone out in that dept ....might as well add more guns since that's all they care about

More focused on their gun sales? The gun counter has awful customer service.

I agree 100%. I'm just pointing out that they usually have 4-5 guys at the gun counter & 1 if that on the fishing side. Also take note, that the guys are always behind the gun counter. What if you have a customer who wants to purchase gun accessories, like a range bag or something? Do we still have to take a number if we have a question about an item not behind the counter?
