Default 1911 sight work / dovetail cuts.

Any good places to send in a slide to have dovetails cut into the slide?

The prior owner of my 1911 did a garage job on the gun and didn't do such a great job. I'd prefer to send the gun to someone to have it fixed and done correctly.

So a bad dovetail has already been cut into the slide?

Might need welding...

It can be fixed if properly cut. Right now it's not deep enough and the sights installed stick out on the sides. If the cut was deeper the sights would fit correctly.

Ok. Since the gun isn't a match grade gun would the cost of the Novak work be worth it along with their huge backlog??
