Thanks guys, and Yep, private. Despite my best efforts to get pigs on public land, the only ones I've taken have been on private land.

It was a slow duck season, scratched out a Widgeon and a Gadwall the last weekend of the season at a friend's club in Dos Palos. Ducks and donuts in the blind.

Ha. Better than nothing, I haven't had much luck lately and haven't had the time to go out because of college classes.

Here are the pics of some of the steelhead I have managed to pull in and get a picture of on the Lower American River. I really enjoy having a river this close with some really nice fish! The pics are in the order that I caught these fish..... I have been skunked on that last three days out. Well one tug but that is not even a hook up so I dont count that because it just not a hook up I did manage to lose about 40 fish + or - had a pretty good year on the American being its my first time I really took out my Sage One #7 Spey Rod Hope some of you that have been out and got to hook some fish and play them. I know its nice to have a fish in hand for a pic but to have the simple joy of just hooking a fish beats any day at work I have been out for about 4 weeks straight and enjoyed every minute of it!

Hope you guys enjoy the pics!

With the new 6mm WOA driving tacks it was time to put some effort into it. Fun day with kills at 100, 250 and 425 yards. The 425 was my first turret dialed in kill. Ranged, applied dope and crushed the dog with a 65gr vmax
Camo used today was shorts with sears work boots and a black tshirt

Last Monday @ New Melones. My friend threw back the biggest bass @ 8 lbs on rubber worms. No kokanee, but we tried.

Got both of these sows 2 weeks ago in Willows, California. Had a great time hunting. Used a 308 caliber rifle.

Sonoma county gobbler. Remington 1100, #4 HeviShot. BTW, I sure love all those wild boar photos. I hope to get out this year and get one.

Yes, we hunted on private land in Willows with a guide.

It was my first time hunting and I had a great time. Shot my first pig at 230 yards and my second at about 100 yards. It was a 3 day trip with 5 people total in our group. We had 2 guides that took us out on these Polaris Rangers.
We shot a total of 6 pigs, we could of shot more pigs but didn't have anymore tags. Next I'm going to try duck hunting!

How did you get your pig? By rifle or bow? Or run up and slit its throat. Sorry, I could resist. Just joking!!! But the picture does look a little odd with 3 guys standing around drinking, no gun, rifle, or bow in casual pants.
All seriousness aside, Rifle or bow?
Congrats!

Hahaha. Not really sure. My buddy who doesn't hunt was the first one to it on the side of what was essentially a cliff. I told him to bleed it and that's what I got. He might of wanted to make sure it was really dead. Not gonna complain since it is his land. I took it with a sporterized 03a3 30-06 through the spine.
The coffee was extra good that morning after the cliff and poison oak. Those who said the work starts after the kill were not joking.
