Default CCI Tacts up at Cabela's

As the title says, at $28 a pop, not all that good.

The good news is the limit is 5 and when you use the stalkup code, it drops the price to $25.20 each.

This was posted by Boneyard in AA who deserves the "OP". Right now they are up on your wish list, if you have one. The link below will put 5 into your cart.

Thanks for the post. Are these better than CCI mini mags for accuracy shooting or just better for rapid fire use in an AR style

I notice no difference. For me, solid points are always more accurate than hp's, esp. as the distance increases.

I read something about them being designed for the M&P 15-22 and that is what I have.

IIRC, they are slightly lower velocity than minimags, but still work well on most if not all of my .22s.

Yeah they're very reliable in my 15-22.

As I've mentioned numerous times, for some reason Cabela's list items to purchase via their wish list long before they are "seen" elsewhere. This happens quite regularly with the CCI Tacts. It happened the other day with the Rem buckets. Also up on the wish list right now are the CCI Velocitors for $6.74 when using stalkup16. The Tacts have been up since I posted yesterday and yet they are still "unseen".

If you buy ammo from C's, it's to your advantage to "build" a wish list. Remember, you never do your ordering from the wish list. Only from your "emailed" version. It's slightly different and just about fool proof. Also, the item doesn't disappear when you make an order. It works like a bridal registry. If you put the quantity at 999 when you add it to your list, you will have to order 999 of that item before it disappears. Also, the quantity can be changed at any time.

It's also a nice way to see what's in stock and what's on sale just by scrolling down the list. It's not just for ammo.

So how do "build" a wish list if the items you want never appear on their website because they are out of stock or at least out of view for you to most people. Do you have to wait until the item is in stock then put it on your wish list? Is that the only way to "build" your wish list.

This is like a secret menu that only the cool kids know about.

Precisely. 4-5 years ago it was a "secret menu". Back in those days if you had the item's PID and VID numbers, you could do just about anything with them, including adding them to your wish list any time you wanted to. Or search all of Cabela's warehouses for the item and buy it, even though it wasn't up for sale. But those days are over. The links I (we) used to use no longer work. The auto add links still work though. A sample is the above that puts 5 Tacticals into your cart. But the item needs to be available. Therefore it will be up on the wish list.

Yes, unless informed otherwise, you have to wait until the item is in stock. Really no big deal nowadays as there's been lots of ammo up at C's the past 6 months. It only takes ten seconds or so to add it a few times to your WL.

does anyone know how active junky deals with an order that has 22 ammo and other stuff? the 22 is always just 2% with other stuff being higher, does it give you two rates? or just the lower for the whole order?

My orders of mixed ammo including 22lr came through with the centerfire AJ rate. YMMV

CCI Swamp People are also up now also for $28 and a limit of 5. These are up on slickguns, but the Tacticals still haven't made it. I wonder why that's always the case?? Last time they were up it was 4-5 days before anyone who doesn't have a wish list saw them.

In the hundred of thousands of rounds of ammo I've purchased in the last 6-7 years, I don't have a single "Fed Value Pack of 325". I've never heard of it. Yes, the Fed AM in 325, or the Fed Champions in 525 and 550 (Walmart's), but not that one.

I personally don't care at all for the Champion and I am just luck warm with the Fed AM. The only Fed except for the high priced stuff is the 710 and 810 that shoots decent for me. Again, that's just me.

Sorry, to answer your Q. I've always had better luck with CCI than Fed, as I think most people here can attest to the fact. I'm told there's a 10% off and free ship coming, beginning this Saturday. So wait and see. Now if only AJ would go back up as before.

Let us know what you think of them. We are always interested even if our own guns don't perform that well. Go to AA and read Shaky's post about C's. Link below.
