I doubt you will find a duty holster for less that $84. Duty holsters can run as high as $150+

I bought my last duty holster on Optics planet but you need to know the EXACT model number you are ordering. LEO only shops are also usually cheaper than open to the public shops. They will normally allow cadets/recruits to shop there w/ID.

Thanks guys, do you suggest for about the same price go buy a custom from Nelsonleather.com? They have holsters for about a same price of a safariland?

I suggest Safariland. Everybody uses them and it is going to get scuffed all to hell anyway over time. My nylon black Safariland is more durable than my old Academy issue leather one was.

Good idea. It is best to go with something the Tac Officer will recognize. You will get enough attention without having gear that is different.

copquest.com is a good source. Definitely get a Safariland holster, either 6280/5 or 6360/5. Here is a coupon for an additional 12% off: CQDEC12

If you come in under a Benjamin on a duty holster you are good. I second the above poster that you don't want to have some weird or fancy holster that will draw the ire of the Cadre. There will be enough of that to go around already.

I paid way more than that for my non-BW duty holster... anything under a hundy for a BW duty holster is good, especially a Safariland 6285.
