You do realize there is no LEO exemption for :

CA PC 21510. Every person who does any of the following with a switchblade knife having a blade two or more inches in length is guilty of a misdemeanor:
(a) Possesses the knife in the passenger’s or driver’s area of any motor vehicle in any public place or place open to the public.
(b) Carries the knife upon the person.
(c) Sells, offers for sale, exposes for sale, loans, transfers, or gives the knife to any other person.

PC 17730 provides exemption for PC 16590 (only ON DUTY), NOT for PC 21510

Are you talking about possession? Of course, I realize there is no "exemption" for LEOs, but you do realize it's legal to own them as long as they are not carried on the person or in a passenger compartment of a vehicle in a public place. I can mail to your house and you do whatever you want with it in your private residence, no? If you need to transport it you can do it in the trunk, no?

So, who needs an exemption?

No, I'm not talking about possession, other then a) and b) as quoted; but per item c) you cannot legally offer them for sale.
