Default Orpheum Theatre - SF; Hamilton

My wife got tickets to a showing of Hamilton at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco.

As a CCW holder I was wondering if anyone has been to this show that can report back on metal detectors at the door?

I would appreciate it if you could save me a walk back to the car.

Thanks for the heads up.

Orpheum is at Market near 8th. That area is comparatively safe within theater hours, though it does have a share of street people.

Haven't been by that theater in a while. Symphony doesn't have walk-throughs or wanding, so I would be surprised to find the Orpheum does.

There is no value at all complaining or analyzing or reading tea leaves to decide what these bills really mean or actually do; any bill with a chance to pass will be bad for gun owners.

I don't have any info if they do or not but, I'd leave it at home just to be on the safe side. Because I'm not locking anything I'd worry about losing in my car in SF.

Never thought of you as the Symphony going type, not that that is a bad thing. I always pictured you as more of a classic rock guy, learn something new everyday.

My wife and her girlfriends have been going there for a couple of years (in fact going tonight). No one's ever bothered them.

Just went to see Hamilton at orpeum. They do have security guys wanding people as they go in. You can get past them if you are clever, but be advised.... There are detectors at least for Hamilton.

I cannot believe the idiots who say “ it’s safe there” or leave it at home. You never know when your life will be threatened. It may never happen, it might happen at church tomorrow. You should always be in a position to prectect your family and yourself.
