Default Best option for laser engraver

Whatís the best inexpensive option for a professional laser engraver. Looking to engrave polymer and possible slides if I can find a cost effective laser. I want a pro model but itís not necessary to have a heavy run time, wonít be doing guns back to back. Iím just not trying to get into a $15k model. I mean +/- 1k would be cool but I would humor up to 3k I think. Just donít want to gamble with a cheap amazon model without knowing it does what I want. I saw some on amazon that looked like they May work but want input.

I'm hoping for something in the $500 range.

Default Grizzly Tools Option

I can't speak to the quality or user friendliness of the items I'm linking to below.

Simply tossing this out as an option. The lowest priced model, at 60 watts, is $3,275.

What material will you engrave? How deep and how intricate? You can spend 25 to 50 grand easy. It's not cheap.

My sister was using a laser to engrave photos on items a few years back.

She had a shop and it was a nice point of sale item.

Why give a pocket knife, when you can give an engraved one
Pictures onto dog tags

The machine was $25k and barely etched the surface. Wisely she rented one for 90 days and found out she could not make money with they system due to lower volume and what people will pay for the system.

So set your specs- how deep and on what material?

It’s cheaper to find a local place that has a laser and pay the $50-$500 they charge then to buy your own
