Default O.C. CA CCW Renewal, How long did yours take ??

I sent my renewal off with two months left on my current CCW, thinking that would be enough time, they send me a notice that they are taking 3 months to process ? WTF ! when I sent it off, a lot of people on here said their initial CCW at that time only took a month !!!

I renewed in February. I sent my completed packet in at around 85 days prior.

They asked for two easily provided additional documentation details, and I picked up my license before the old one expired. Maybe 2-3 weeks before, which was a huge change from last time, where I sent in 90 days prior and didn't get my renewal until a month or so after my old expired.

Dont sweat the inevitable request for more info, I got an email right after I sent what they asked for telling me the next comm would be my pickup email.

Those are some krazy processing times for a renewal 😮😧😯

I just submitted my Kern ccw renewal online Monday 6/17 around 5:45pm, was notified 9:35am 6/19 that it was ready. Picked it up this morning.

Dupe post from 2015 (although it is still active). You were the first one to reply then and the first one to reply here again. Lol

I renewed in January and it took about 10 days. It would have been sooner if not for some extra documentation and my renewal class date.

I understand that they have been taking longer lately, based on the long running Orange County Renewal thread located about an 1.5 inches below this one (hint hint lol)

They tell you to submit your renewal 3 months before expiration, so this shouldn't come as a surprise. When I submitted it 3 months before expiration, I received my approval within a month and picked up the week before it expired.

didn't they say that you can not submit your renewal until 90 days before your permit expires?
not you need to submit your paperwork 90 days?

Default San Diego Renewal

40 Minutes
Called 2.5 months before expire. They said no need to come in so soon. Gave me an appointment 6 days before expiration date. Told me to just make sure I have the required re-qualification done.
Went in with renewal form and required documents in hand. They took a new picture, went over application and checked my training sheet was signed. Left the desk and came back 10 minutes later with new permit.
Very polite, very respectful, very helpful.
Sometimes makes me wonder if the delays people have are just based on their own bad attitudes.
