Just starting "Bug Out" bags for the wife and I.

Stage 3 stuff is already stocked in the house (on-going) for long term (6 months+) on-site living if needed.

This thread is a great read!

So here are some pics of my BOB which is also my camping/ backpacking gear i actually use all of my gear often so i know what works for me to all their own i guess. The idea behind all my gear is that its all stored in packs so that one person can carry. Some things you'll clear figure out i would not carry with me if i have to make a trek and ditch my jeep thus having all gear stored in packs. A few things i left out of the pics were clothes cus who really wants to see the clothes and footwear im going to be wearing lol. For water treatment i have a life straw and a sawyer mini water filter. Im sure im forgetting to list some of my stuff lol but you guys get the idea.

Heres my main Pack.

This is my all weather 2 person tent, sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, pillow, thermarest sleeping pad, and a fleece blanket.

Here is my cookware.

My water storage i have 2 of them.. also but not in the pic 2 water bladders and lots of water bottles.

This is my shower, toilet, quick drying towel, lamp, maglite, bear bells, trash bags, garmin gps, and the H1900 thing is a pop up dressing room thats where i set up the toilet and shower. There are a few other things there in the pic.

Continuing.............

Here are my tools and self defense. AR is a 5.56 and the other is a 22lr

Here is my second pack. Mainly here i keep med kits, water treatment, battery stuff, and food and water so if worse comes to worse i ditch the main bag keep this bag with the must have stuff along with tools and rifles.

Continuing ........

Did you guys know that for many medicine which are in tablet form, and kept in cool dry place, can last for 10 years or more ?

When you feel the BOB is good to go. You should all challenge yourself and walk 11miles with it on. Average thru hiker distance. Then sometime do a 24 hour overnight solo to test the gear. This really make me decide what was important and what as BS. JUST A SUGGESTION.

Chief
Three guns different caliber, pile of Amno
You can carry 500-1000 rounds 22
And a Ruger 10-22 takedown in 1/3 the weight
All that crap sounds good till you have to lug it all day one op said 6 folding knives and 2 fixed plus hatchet really?
Sometimes less is more, especially if I'am carrying it
One point to be made is always carry a pair of good walking shoes

That is why we test out load outs!

At least once a year take your gear out on a overnight hike at least.

I probably missed it.
But some very important things..

Antibiotics, penicillin.
Ibprofen.
Rubbing alcohol
Table Salt (soak/fight infection/draws out puss in hot water)
Peroxide
Soap

I also didn't see toothbrush/paste anywhere. Gross ! Haha.

Also, some kind of booklet on what vegetation is safe to eat.
Humans really only need carbs to survive(the starch kind)

Schmilk does a body good

On day 3

The company makes a sports version. I have to find out how long it can sit in a pack!

Ambronite may be better for a bug out bag!
