Could two person share the same rifle during the course? Because my buddy and i are interested in the class, but only one of us have an 1 moa rifle.

We have just changed the courses of fire and price plan for Long Range Precision Rifle.


(ASR-PR) Precision Rifle Group Class $175 All weekends. Please ask.
Angeles Shooting Range Public Rifle side
2 Days all weekend.
No caliber restrictions
Minimum of 5 students. Maximum of 10.

(Piru) Precision Rifle Private Class $250 All weekends. Please ask.
Piru Rifle Range 1000 yd maximum
.308 caliber rifle or higher preferrably

LRPR 101 Course:
Duration: 2 Days
Price: $250
Location:Piru Gun Range, Piru, CA
Private Lessons Only (Up to 2 shooters at a time)
Purpose:
To help shooters better understand the mathematics and atmospherics that go into long range precision rifle shooting. Shooters will have a better understanding of Mils and MOA, shooters will learn how to use mirage to make wind calls and apply a wind formula for shooting, shooters will also learn how to convert MOA to Mils and vice versa. Shooters will learn to apply the fundamentals and elements of a good shooting position in order to become better at shooting. Shooters will also learn how to use there rifle scopes to their full potential including how to use the reticle to shoot using only holds and using it to determine proper second round adjustments for follow on shots. Shooters will learn how to incorporate a mil dot reticle into making adjustments on a MOA turret scope.

Day 1

Position setup from prone or bench rest
Scope setup/check

Zero Rifle - 30 rnds needed

Data Collection Shoot
200-1,000 yards 5 rnds per yard line - 60 rnds needed

Data Collection Overview

Day 2

Data Collection #2: 1,000 - 200 yards (60rnds needed)

Mil Holds Drill Using Zero Hold:
200-600 yards; 2 rnds per tgt - 10 rnds needed

Mil Holds Using 600 yd Elevation Hold:
All ranges including 100 yard line; 2 rnds per tgt - 26 rnds needed

Unsupported Shooting Positions:
Sitting - 10 rnds
Kneeling- 10 rnds
Standing - 10 rnds

Course Overview

Equipment needed:

250 rnds needed for course
.308 caliber rifle or higher (preferably 150gr to 175gr in weight)
Good quality rifle scope w/ a tactical milling reticle (Mil Dot or TMR needed for Day 2)
Scope tools and manual (torque settings for both rings/mounts)
Shooting pack with towel or small blanket packed inside
Sand sock: sock filled with dirt, beads, or sand
Calculator
Shooting mat
Data book or small notebook with pen or pencil
Food and water as needed
End of Day


LRPR 202
Day 1
Rezero - 20 rounds

Tripod Positional Shooting Exercise:
Sitting: 100 yards to 1,000 yards (60 rnds needed)
Kneeling: 100 yards to 800 yards (40 rnds needed)
Standing: 100 yards to 700 yards (35 rnds needed)

End of Day 1

Day 2

Rapid Engagement Drill From Bench All TGTs; 2 rounds per tgt (24 rnds needed)

Tripod Positions Grouping Drill @ 100 yards (15 rnds needed)

Mil Holds Exercise from Tripod; 2 rnds per yard line @ 100 - 600 yards in each position (36 rnds needed)

Rapid Shooting From Tripod Drill in Each Position @ 100 - 600 yards 2 rnds per tgt (36 rnds needed)

End of Day 2

Equipment Needed:
Refer to LRPR 101 Equipment List
Ammo: 300rnds
Knee pads
Heavy Duty Tripod (Manfrotto or equivalent) w/support (optional rental equipment: $20), preferably a HOG Saddle or something equivalent
