Very nice boom sticks with befitting optics. Get well soon to put some lead down range.

You win the height over bore challenge.

I'm not knockin' you or your setup, those are some beautiful rifles that you've invested some serious coin on.

I'm a big guy with a pumpkin size head, and even with extra high rings my height over bore can be 3-3/4 ~ 4-1/4" depending on the rifle. Even with an adjustable cheek piece I usually find myself stacking foam pads in order to get a proper cheek weld that can give me a stable and consistent sight picture.

I know those are bench guns, got any pics of the actual shooting setup? Bags, cheek weld, seating arrangement etc.? I'm only asking because it's always a challenge for me to settle into a proper firing position. It's especially a challenge for me to shoot prone when I have to stack bases, pads, etc., in order to get a good sight picture.

I've actually thought of setting a couple of steel pipes in concrete out in the desert that I can drop a solid table top onto. The pipes would be maybe four inches above ground and I would drop appropriate height pipes into them and set the shooting table on top of that. I'm tired of wobbly makeshift tables that creek and shift when I adjust my elbow or lean into the table.

I think the HOB is for the massive amounts of MOA built into the mounts for really long range shooting.

They are shot heads up so your face never makes contact with the stock.
Your shoulder never touches the recoil pad until the trigger is pulled and the gun glides back into your shoulder.

Very nice rifles. I have to admit, reading about your near-death experiences and then seeing how you are grabbing life by the horns, and reading your polite reply, inspires me. Thank you.

I thought that might have been the case. Once I saw the height of the optic on the rifle in the foreground the first thing I thought was you must be sitting upright with your head perfectly vertical in order to look straight through the optic. That and the fact that I didn't see any holes on the comb flat of the stock where the riser would normally attach.

Someday I've got to attend a match where I can see firsthand how these machines work.

Thanks for the reply and link to the video.
