I say call them and ask to upgrade your membership with the $500 life member promotion, or buy a yearly membership and I bet you'll get the letter as well.

1-855-672-2016 give them your member id and ask for $500 life member promotion deal.

Oh and do us all a favor, decline the free gifts.. no one needs an NRA jacket, lame bag, or cheap flashlights/knives...
(Edit: I'm not directing the comment above to anyone, I meant to say decline the gift so NRA keeps more of the money you're donating...)

Stupid question, I just did the 5 year membership and forgot to decline the gift. I received the bag in the mail but I didn't receive any sort of membership card or decal. Do they send this stuff separate? Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks!

Become an NRA Associate Membership for only $10!

Anybody can be an Associate member @ $10. With associate membership you will not gain voting rights and you skip the excellent magazine subscription, otherwise all benefits remain intact

Half price for Life Membership. Think the $35 annual is going for $75 for three years.

Just completed my $25 payment plan to Patron member.

Started another $25/month until I get to Benefactor ($300 or $350 total?).

If you are a life-member, please consider starting a $25/month or quarter plan to the next level.

$15 NRA Membership & $20 NRA Membership Renewal. Includes Magazine & Gift. These are full memberships, not Associate Memberships.

Click below to Join or Renew.

http://www.eagledef.com/nra.html

James over at Eagle Defense is a NRA membership recruiter. He is giving up half of his recruiting commission to encourage folks to join up & renew. I renewed through him a few months ago and am glad I did. Be aware it will take a week or two for the paperwork to be processed as it is mailed in and there is a backlog.

I just signed up! I'm a first time member. A friend of mine recommended I join, and i thought "why? I just want to shoot for fun. I'm not an activist." Well, after reading a bunch in the 2A forums, I realized I'd be foolish to think I could own a gun in CA and not be a member. Hopefully, 1000's more like me come to the same conclusion... soon!

Signed up for life membership. Since seeing the "freedoms safest place" ads, I feel like we are not as abandoned as some make it out.

Now if they can just run the ad with the older black woman on channels other than fox news, Ill be very happy indeed.

Default No more $300 life time

I called NRA and asked about the $300 life time membership, they said that they have no idea where that promotion came from how ever they are currently offering at this time a $500 life time membership. They also mentioned that they will be raising their membership prices by Jan 1st 2016.

They also said that you can take advantage of the payment plan with min $25 down and $25 per month but the catch is the total payment will be $600 instead of $500. )

I got the same on the phone. You can get the payment plan from Lorax3's sign in link above. The math is interesting - it's 1000 on the main page for Life. It's 500 on the logged-in page, and you are apparently saving 1000. So is the new Life going to be 1500?

$500 is looking pretty good in that case.

Life Membership - $500
SAVE $1,000

Deal is dead now. NRA says it was an error, but will honor anyone who got in.

If you are 65+ or a disabled veteran you qualify for a discount when joining the NRA.

Just started installment plan for life @500.

Looks like regular price for life membership will be raised to 1500 from 1000 at the start of next year.

My wife said that she would give me the $500 as Christmas gift, but when I check the website I no longer see the $500. What's the deal now it says $1000 for lifetime membership.
I will call tomorrow to see if its still $500. Don't tell me I missed this one too.

If its still $500 get it while you can or else it will be $1500 then a 50% deal which would be $750. Yes this like everything else prices just keep going up.

Let us know. It appears you can still get a $500 membership via https://www.nra2016.org if you add a current member's details in the box, and select gift membership. You can checkout with just the gift membership only.

I called the NRA number again this am and they still have the $500 membership. I am guessing that this will be the case until the end of this year before they go up in price by Jan 2016.

I know $500 is a lot of $$$ but you can always do a $25 for every quarter and it should be paid for in 5 years. Only catch is you wont get the nice gift they offer if you were to pay one time. But if $$ is tight then the quarterly $25 is THE best way to go plus it locks you in @$500 lifetime membership.

I just did mine, I am all good. I hope people who has not yet signed up do it before the year is over.
