Oh, she's a National Match with a newly acquired OD Springfield stock.

Future owner of a scout version here. I put a deposit down a month ago. Do you guys know which aftermarket stock has the shortest length of pull with an adjustable cheek riser? No pistol grip I want to keep the detachable mags.

what kind of magazines are those? i've been looking for some good quality 10/20's but they're impossible to find and the 2 that i have are faulty. one won't hold the only round in the mag and the other won't cycle the last round. fml

The rail is the Troy Systems M14 BattleRail. It is a great system, solid as hell. Cost is in the $250-$300 range nowadays. Easy to install once you have the castlenut pliers which are required.

Ok I finally get to contribute to this thread again. After a couple years without a beloved M1A, I just got my new one put together. Its a scout.. I painted the stock with Alumahyde Coyote, installed a TacPro cheekrest, mounted an ACOG (TA11E) on a GDI/Trijicon mount, and an Atlas bipod on a Sadlak rail. I have a JAE on order but am not holding my breath.

So besides the JAE, what's a good accurate stock? I like those LAW stocks, but prefer the look of the classic military look.
Maybe I should just commit to a McMillan. :-/

So much beauty in here.
Hmmm. I see now why people take photos and video of themselves. I really need to bring in that chicken wing. I am disappointed in the people I shoot with. I will tell them if they are winging or leaning back, etc. No one has ever said anything to me...

No, it's the SOCOM 16. I ordered the stock about 8 months ago and it finally arrived. The Aimpoint is temporary, I'm just ordered the Trijicon AccuPoint 3-9x40 scope with a Trijicon RMR mounted on top. Going to order the Sage top rail for the scope, Troy foregrip and the full auto cover from Sage. I didn't realize there would be a big hole on the side of the receiver.
The overall length collapsed is 32.5 inches and of course I had to install a bullet button to make it California Legal. |

It wasn't too bad taking it apart, but it doesn't just drop in. You have to remove the muzzle brake, gas cylinder assembly and front band and the operating guide block which was the hardest thing to do. For some reason I thought you would just remove the fire mechanism group and upper and then drop it into the new stock but I was mistaken. I'm no gunsmith so it's nothing the average Joe can't handle. Thanks for the compliments and I will post the pictures when it's all finished. |

seriously, this is my favorite of H20 Man's collection. Let's get this thing to California and call it a day.

That has to be one of the coolest EBR set ups I have ever seen!!!! This would be the marine magnum shotgun equivalent to the M1A variant.
