thanks for the feed back, I just could get myself to drill into the reciever.

I will be doing a few (20-30) of these, I know a few of my AK friends are interested. The more I do the cheaper they will be. I will figure a price as soon as I get the CNC time and what type of blackening to go with, Duracoat or chemical.
Give me a couple days.
I will keep you in mind.

Do you need a special tool to attach a muzzle break or will a crescent wrench work?

From the factory they come with a muzzle nut tack-welded to FSB. You will need a Dremel and a grinding/cutting bit and about two minutes OR you will need some kind of triangle file and a LOT of elbow grease to saw through that weld. Once you break the weld, you just need to depress the little detent pin and spin the nut off in a CLOCKWISE (opposite of our threads) direction. Then you can just thread on just about any AK-47 style muzzle device - you shouldn't even need a wrench of any kind, because the detent pin holds the muzzle device in place.

Because you love Draco's

That is right, I am using the Sling Plate from Vinz. Feels sturdy and it looks like it will be able to withstand some abuse. Fit and finish is good, no modifying was need in order to use it. I can't wait to test it out at the range and out on BLM Land

I have a bunch coming up soon, just waiting on field reports and complete design changes the testing might expose.

As soon as I narrow down a coating decision then its off to find a dealer.
I will add to the post as soon as they are available.

Just got my Draco:

Basic black. Just added a slant brake, K-Var handguards and an Arsenal RPK-style grip.
Thanks to Henderson Defense, Independent Armament and Shooters-Edge.

Many thanks to djleisure for the Draco inspiration...this thing was a BLAST to shoot!!! We were consistently hitting my LaRue Sniper target at 85 yds w/ the irons. Awesome, it wasn't the "novelty" gun that I thought it was going to be, but was a pleasure to shoot...easily the most fun we had that day.

Can't wait to get a red dot mounted!!!

Thanks. I just wanted to keep it simple, and the RPK grip is much more comfortable than a standard AK grip, which is just too small for me.
We'll see if the recoil demands that I switch to a Hogue.

The furniture I got it from here although they are sold out of most wood furniture http://www.rusmilitary.com/html/c-deact_furniture.htm but I dont remember how much the total was cause I got it a few years ago and their prices are in Euros although I remember the shipping being really expensive and it takes a bit to actually be delivered
