Have you seen what they're asking for Glocks? All of the sudden they're as expensive as Sigs and HKs which is ridiculous. You can always counter offer.

Hi Points are not even worth the money you pay for them. Especially if you are going to use it for HD or something important.

Anyone ignorant enough to buy a Hi Point handgun is surely ignorant enough to over pay, and deservedly so IMHO....

Hey man my father has one. Its one of the ugliest guns but the thing shoots like a champ and it was accurate and it doesn't care what ammo is in it. That's just my opinion. I wouldn't think twice about buying one.

Or sigmas going for 500+, p95s for over 400 hundred. They seem to never sell so that's good.

Ignorance is bliss and you two are very blissful. Sure, it's not a +$1000 1911 but, mine works just as ell as my Glock does. Of course, I don't count on my HP nor my Glock for SD.

My C9 NEVER failed to fire. It was ugly as sin but was so reliable. Hi 995 is the same way. Also the best warranty in the gun business and customer service people at Hi Point who actually answer phones and help you. Can't go wrong.

I'm new on this forum but on the acr forum they would either ban or give a warning to anyone that is price gouging and taking advantage of the current situation. WE should be helping each other in the community and not always thinking of a way to get over on others.

Think about it. it's a gun with a MSRP of $150 ish what do you think the actual quality is like, it probably cost about $50-60 to manufacture and that is at a high cost. I wouldn't even hold one and actually shoot it. But then I don't buy or shoot crap throw away firearms anyway. Think of it as a knock off Bic lighter of firearms.

You're all crazy. Hi-Points are great. With enough practice if you run out of ammo you can wield it against your opponent like Thor's Hammer.

quality aint too bad on them sure it could be better but im not gonna complain its just a range toy and do you really think your $1,000 colt, spring field. sigs etc cost $900 to produce ???

im not saying its the top notch pistol but I do know every time I put a mag in and pull the trigger it goes bang and hits its target (accurately ) , you should shoot one so you can see that its really not that bad of a gun I use to think the same thing saw the price and went wow what a POS then I shot one and was very impressed

My buddy has a .380 hi point, it has fired ever time we have pulled trigger but I don't like the feel. I bought a p95 as my first handgun and got a lot of haters as well but at the end of the day I was participating in a sport that I love. If you can only afford a hi-point then that is okay cause I'm not going to discourage anyone from becoming a new member to gun ownership because they can't afford it.

To all the people that Hate on Hi-Point.

Do you trust your Glock/Sig/HK/Kimber to fire if the gun was subject to the same abuse as this Hi-Point?

Used guns cost more than new guns because of limited supply. Ever heard of "supply and demand". Brand or quality is not effected by limited supplies.

Its just SOOOOOOO UGLY! I can never get over its looks. Its like buying the fattest, ugliest and cheapest hooker you can find. Sure the job may get done but I'd rather spend a few more bucks and get something I wont regret the next morning.

It was my first gun and the one that got me hooked on Guns.
I still shoot it sometimes.

What can you do when people have more money than sense?

Glocks for $600+
M&P for $600+
HK for $1000+ when a local LGS has them for $850 with night sights
SP2022 for $500+
SIGS for more than MSRP BNIB

Just silliness. Better to wait rather than feed into the BS and over pay. The choice always falls on the buyer.

Really, it's because I have stubby fingers and double stacks just don't fit me well. I prefer to carry one of my 1911s or my SP101 around the property and keep always keep a loaded shotgun and rifle handy too.

Hi Points are well worth the price (yeah $99 is the going rate). They are a tough, well made (made in America), cheap, functional handgun. Don't knock them.

You can counter offer. It likely will be hard to sell at asking price unless there are no other options.
