My Baer PII. Has about 5K rounds throught her but still rediculously sticky at the bushing. You have to really grab a hold of the slide to rack an empty mag. No malfunctions that I can remember too.

VZ must be living it up. He needs to send Kestryl a giant Ham for Christmas. This forum brings him so much business. It's certainly how I and thousands of others found out about and fell in love with his products.

Perhaps you could post a pic where we can actually see the pistol so we can enjoy it too! This is like posting pics of boobs with a black bar across them- just a tease...

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

Here's mine.. Les Bear, a fixed Kimber 9mm.. Love them..

Tested cheap ammo both 9mm and 45 at about 13 yards Free standing (
calling it 30' just because that's were I bench mark).

I shot two 9mm holes in the bottom target for scale.

Btw not a ton of difference in ammo..

Default Les Baer Custom Carry: Alchemy Custom Weaponry

Sent my SS Les Baer Custom Carry to Alchemy Custom Weaponry (ACW) and had my Bear “finished”. Now she’s a keeper.

-Hi-power/Carry cuts
-11-degree target crown (flush cut and crown barrel)
-Heavy Bevel on bottom of slide
-Slide stop flush cut and hole beveled
-Shaping and fitting of the Smith & Alexander magwell
-New grips VZ Aliens black grey 10-8 thumb notch

First of all, I would like to say that I am very impressed with Rob and his crew at Alchemy Custom Weaponry. ACW met and exceeded my expectations of even some of the big name 1911 custom shops I’ve sent my other pistols to. From the beginning of the quote, to the time the pistol was back in my hands. Rob was around to answer every question and concern I had about my pistol. Most of all, he always went the extra mile and took care of the pistol like it was his own. This shows that ACW takes great pride in their work.

Davester- Sweet looking Baer. I have always been a fan of Baers, Hi-power/Carry cuts, and recessed barrels. Just HC my TRS but was a bit dissapointed and sent it back. Should of sent it to Alchemy.
