That's not entirely true, I purchased two directly from Rainer one came packaged like the image you show here the other was just in a plastic bag. Although one was a 5.56 and the other a .308 not sure if that matters.

V1 latch/handles are steel. V2 are aluminum.

I confirmed the return address the seller provided was
GTI/Amazon
1020 NE 169th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33162 when you do a Google earth of this address it is the elementary school as prior post said. Doubt we will be able to Mail anything anywhere. Same here, I ordered a raptor directly from Rainier in September as well and mine came in ziplock too

So here are the pictures. I think the differences will stand out quite a bit. Pay close attention to the machining inconsistency of the grooves on the handles. The bevel on the shaft. The finish inconsistency visible from the bottom.

The springs are about 20% lighter in the fake one too.

She costs a bit more, but that logo just tops off the whole Noveske build.

Yes, GTI address is bogus.

I contacted Amazon Customer Service. The best option is to enter your contact # and an Amazon CS representative will call you immediately. CS rep emailed GTI for me. All future correspondence is visible in your email and order summary>Help for Order # page.

Also, A friend who sells on Amazon told me the money is in Amazon Escrow first. Then it will be transferred to sellers account.

Interesting thread. I have 4 Raptor CHs - 3 came directly from Rainier and 1 from BravoCo. All 4 came in packages like the photo in post #123. I have only opened one from Rainier and the one from Bravo, but they look the same. However, the one from Rainier has the handles that operate both sides at the same time and the other from Bravo does not. They both look consistent to the "real" pics posted above. It may be possible that one is V1 and the other is V2, but it was difficult to tell if one or the other had steel handles.

I will check the other two new ones later tonight.

I got a fake MS3 sling from someone on Amazon, they refunded my money, never asked to have it returned. Ended up giving it to a friend to use.

Because I purchased them directly from Noveske. If you bought them from eBay or anywhere else, for that matter, then I'd wonder about it's authenticity.

So after contacting Amazon they said they will email the seller for me and ask for a refund. The seller responded and said to ship for a refund. Now the question is how can I trust this guy who sold me a counterfeit to give me a refund? Wish Amazon would have more control over the matter, shouldn't they have a way to make sure their sellers are legitimate.

Based on the circumstances, as long as you have a tracking number for the return trip, you'd win a CC chargeback if the seller refused to refund.

Actually, there was a time when they had their raptor charging handle for sale for $69.99. This was back in September ( I had to double check my email to look for the receipt) and it was on here that I saw the ad and jumped on it right away. The ad led me straight to their website where I bought it.

I ordered a Raptor on 12/7/13 from Monster Tactical and fulfilled by Amazon. I
had read that counterfeits were around and carefully researched the seller.
For what its worth, mine did come in Rainier Arms Raptor packaging (5.56) and the latch does have
a very subtle curve as shown in the pictures for the real raptor.

Mine has not yet showed up. I am on the west coast though. Not sure where those of you are who got them already. How awesome would it be if to further compound, he never sent some of them after saying he did not 1 time (initial bogus ship email), but 2 times (in a direct email to me when I called him out on the shenanigans). I did cancel it, and I thought in time, by my account shows shipped and he said shipped.

Wouldn't matter to your cc company if you sent them a screenshot of the return address listed by the seller. If you do what the seller tells you to, they won't hold you liable. I doubt you'd even have to initiate a chargeback, as Amazon treats customers like royalty, and it seems like they're taking care of other people here.

He gave me a different return address from the address listed on the package and according to google, neither address belong to a school. Maybe we should start posting addresses on here and seeing how many he's actually giving us?
