Default Rooster Ranch Sporting Clays Closed?

I notice on Yelp that Rooster Ranch shows as closed. Anybody know what happened? They got hurt by the floods a couple of years ago but came back. Are they closed temporarily or is for good? Hate to lose a nice course. I like it there.

Yeah permanently closed at the end of last year. It's on wetlands designated Land, and someone at a state environmental agency decided that that didn't want lead in high quantities on a preserve... Or just didn't like people shooting lots...

Got 2 weeks to shut the thing down before the state closed them, sold all the equipment locally.

Sad to see them go.

That's too bad. Before the floods, they had some of the better looking cover for a planter bird shoot. I never shot there, but found it by driving by a few years back. Was on the list.
