Default Pulled projos. Thoughts? Picts added

First off happy fathers day.

Ordered some american reload pulled projos. Advertised as 180/165 hydroshok and hst. Order actually had 180/165/155. The bad part is that the 180s look like crap.

Thoughts?

Load them and shoot them.
They are pulled---Not new and perfect.
If they advertised only the 2 weights you would be right in contacting them about it.
I would guess you got them at a good price so just use them and enjoy the shooting. They will work fine.

500 for 48 bucks to the door. About 100 or so not so good. Will take a close up later. Noses are pretty crimped.

Lmao. Sorry phone sucks. Overall quailty is good. Not my first order. All the other pulled are like new almost no marks. These 180s are not what they should be imho.

I once bought a large batch of #2 plated 9mm bullets. Some were pulled, some never loaded and a mix of 124gr and 115gr...which I have an awesome tip for sorting.

124 and 115gr 9mm plated round nose look similar. Don't sort by weighing them. Instead, set up your dial calipers to the length of a 115gr and push the bullets through that. If the bullet is too tall to fit, then it's not 115gr. I separated those out and set up calipers to fit 124gr. All went through, so I loaded those up with 124gr data.

You could sort by weighing, but I found that it took an absolutely ridiculous amount of time. The dial calipers method was way faster.

I actually weigh them. I found some fmj that had hollow spots. Looked like a 124 pill but weighed only 90 gr. I now weigh them. Doesnt take long. I use a cheapy harbor freight model so i dont mess my reload scale up. About 15 min or so per box.

Those look fine to shoot, but they'll be much more violent on opening. I bet they'll fragment in a major way. Would be lots of fun out of a really hot 10mm.

Called Ar today. Class act. They are shipping replacement projos. Gal apologized for the 155s and bad pulled projos. Asked if she wanted the 155s back and she said to keep them. Yay.

My thoughts... Mmmmm. HYDRO-SHOKS! MMMMMM Boolits. I need to build a swage press so I can make my own hollow-points. Better yet, I need to learn to weld, oh but if I could- no, I can't because I can not afford the $1500+ for a decent welder and THEN you gotta feed it CLEAN energy so I gotta buy a decent generator for another $1k damn welding is expensive; maybe I will consider gas welding instead- no, I can't do that, but wouldn't it be cool if I could weld battle plates to my car and drive around like I came from the set of The Exterminators of the Year 3000? Now THAT would be cool. Then I could weld a press plate on the back and make reloads at the range. Ahh but hollowpoints. Mmmmm Hydro-shok. I wish I could cast those and not have to swage, then I could have some cool SWC. Wait, does HP work as well as SWC? I should shoot some of those .45 ACP that I made and find out. DSLTech is a nice guy. I hope he is doing well up there in Northern CA. Speaking of doing well, I wonder how Red Hemi is doing. Or Bronco. Oh wait, he was on the other day.

Hey we need another reloading clinic in Riverside. Damn too bad my schedule oh wait a sec- If I can get on to graveyard I can help out again...

Oh hey, these photos of Hydro-shoks are rather large and blurry, must be from an iphone... Damn Apple has people thinking they are all professional photographers. HAH! Who would pay a professional photographer to take pics of a pulled bullet? LoL.

Oh wait, people might read this. I should spellcheck...

Uhh Are Hydro-shoks similar to plated bullets (for expansion?) which are what the Gold Dots were?

I think if they are crimped in the same spot nobody will really notice but I can bet that no matter HOW pretty they look, the perp that gets one or two or three drilled into their body will not care how they are crimped or what they look like...

Load a few and try them out...

Yes the hydroshok are plated hollow point. Gold dots are a little better than the hydroshoks (they have a penetration tip) but hst are better or equal than the gold dots.
