Here's my 2nd post on calguns. Got myself an Draco ak47 pistol and also put together an AR15 for Christmas. Great gifts for myself!

Midwest Industries 2-piece handguard
Tapco slotted muzzle brake
Hogue grip
Sling plate

^ Very nice build, my second Draco will look pretty similar. I already have one in FDE with the same upgrades, just a Tapco slant muzzle break instead.

What rails will fit this in the 'lower' price range? I will get the MI quad rail if it is the only one that fits, but I am looking at other options first. Thanks

AFG = GTG

AOW would need a VFG, so he is all good.

Just curious.. why the magazine locks on all these AK pistols? You don't need a mag lock on a pistol.

Restrictions on semiautomatic handguns
California also classifies semiautomatic handguns with certain features as "assault weapons"
12276.1. (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following:
(4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
(B) A second handgrip.
(C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer
to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
(D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.
(5) A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.
Unlike rifles, there is no requirement for pistols to be centerfire, only semiautomatic.

Lets just hope you dont have one with a question like that. If you ever bought one it comes with a lock and also single shot. No way around that. Any pistol with a external mag must be locked and 10rds or less

I don't have one (yet). I'm a noob when it comes to AK/AR pistols. I get it now. Thanks!

I don't normally believe in giving names to guns, but I've named my 6" guide rod pistol, El Diablito (The Little Devil).

Holy smokes, I think I just caught myself drooling. I was about to build or buy an AR pistol but I am heavily weighing this route first/instead. Thanks for the great pics everyone. So many options.....

This is my very first build!!! Building this pistol as my first AK project has made a "standard" build seem like a walk in the park. It really isn't practical at all but it is fun to shoot

Wow - that looks more like a MAC than an AK! Can you post some more photos? I think that might be the smallest AK I have ever seen!

That is one mean-looking AK pistol!

What's the barrel length?

And how's the muzzle-flash?

My updated Draco...
With all the stuff, Trijicon RX30 itself probably weight as much as everything else combined -FH.

Surefire G2 with 200lm green LED (mix of 2 surefire's)
Gear Sector mounts.

LaserMax with two sling mounts on each side. The first one has lower part cut out, laser has plenty of room for adjustments. Made from lightweight aluminum so there's no weight added.

Muzzle FH is U.S made and a copy from Bulgarian type.

What sight do you use on yours.

IMO, the bigger the objective the better when it comes to something without a stock. It's much easier to pick up dot on a larger display.

Edit: Never mind, just found it....... Not bad looking, much better IMO than crappy original wooden stock.
Using iron sight on AK pistol (without stock) suck, even when using a sling on a side. No fast follow up shot can be done accurately.
Red dot/reflex sight is a must have. Otherwise it's just point blank spray and pray flame thrower (without good FH).

Edit: What it looks like with the light/laser on.
Poor photos I know.
Had to dim/adjust aperture otherwise pics would have been to bright.

Front/Angle view.

Reflex only. It does pick up fairly easy even in a bright light and it is brighter then what the photo shows.

Laser (adjusted over reticle for close range). Will make final adjustments at 35 yd or so.

Very happy overall with it. Very lightweight, comfortable and super easy to place it on target.
I actually prefer it to full size AK.

Anyone know if there will be a cali version of the new mini draco? And if so who would have them in stock?

whats the cail version
single shot and mag lock?
or is there another thing that needs to be done because it takes no more effort to do the above at any cali gun shop then they do for the normal size draco
all I see is none ever in stock and probably even more money then they already go for.

I love this photo. I actually put that on mine so my girlfriend can fondle it while I refinished the wood.
I ordered an EKP-1S-03 in weaver but Eastwave couldn't come through so I ended up with a side mount that came last Saturday.
Well, since they dont have sidemounts I took that all off and installed a Bulgarian lower hand guard... So she won't have a choice but to fondle the wood.

Yours looks bad*ss x 10, though.
