The orange set is the original Bulgarian stain. There are no replacements for these so that's another reason why I put the black set on. I also like the flash light lower and there's no replacement for that one either.. I didn't notice any flash even at night. Very effective FH, probably the best there is for this design.
If you need wood hand guards for your 9' barrel. Like what's on your pistol.
Ironwood Design makes them. Good to know about the Bulgarian FH.
I have decided to place that on my Draco as well.

Nice, I think you will notice less concussion also.

Thanks, seen those, Ironwooddesign does make excellent stuff.
Looks like kvar has the 762 handguards in stock.

Yupp those hand guards are nice! I wanted to get one for the Draco but Ironwood didn't make the same design for the Dracos only for other styles.
That's what I've heard and read. The Bulgarian 4 piece also acts like a compensator which lessens the muzzle rise.

That's a Magpul MS2 sling, I believe - works in 2-point and 1-point modes.

Draco AK pistol
Hogue FDE AK grip
Midwest Industries FDE handguard
Troy single-point sling on my own, made-up, nylon webbing sling mount
Tapco slotted muzzle brake

Enjoy!

Do the muzzle brakes/or cones have to be tack welded on a Draco ?

Nope, since it is a mag locked handgun it can have threads w/o having to welded on They do however come with a welded on barrel nut, but once you receive it a simple hack saw or dremel will remove the tack weld

My Draco AK pistol with PWS JTac47 muzzle brake.

I drilled into the side of the receiver to attach a sling swivel for the 2 point sling.

Hogue grip, CNCWarrior A2 style flash hider, generic railed top cover from CDNN Investments, Trijicon Reflex sight. At some point, I'll drill through the rear trunnion to mount a sling swivel, then add a single point sling.

Does it have to be 0-round mag. Can it not be 1-round mag. You cant load a second round anyway without removing the mag. Isnt the reason why its non detachable?

Then you could have one in the chamber, insert your mag w/ 1 loaded round, and the gun would be 2-shot, not single shot.

Darn you are right, I did'nt think about loaded chamber before inserting the mag. Oh well, back in the garage and re-do the mag sled

Default Retro Romy Draco and first shoot target

Before and after photos

Romy wood, slant brake and grip. Romy grip is a bit fatter and more comfy than the grip that comes on the gun.

Just need to work out a rear mounting point for the web sling.

Tim

Got the Draco out to the range last Thursday. Here is the first 25 yard target. Took a while to figure out a good grip and a sling will definitely help. Hogue grips are on the way....
Front sight needs to be drifted a bit to the right, but the hole in my SKS sight tool was a little too small for the Draco sight pin. I guess I will be drilling out the hole in the sight tool.

Here is the "covert" UTG case:

Nice Tim, we need to do a Draco Pistol Day at Chabot. I have a few friends that have them now, it would be so cool to see like 6 people all lined up with Draco's

Would be fun, but I don't get down there very often. I'm further north and usually shoot at Circle S.

Finally got the V1 sling plate made up. came out great, I think I might need it closer to the body.

what do you guys think? closer or leave it that way?
Put the Hogue on, what a difference. I don't know how i shot without it.
another idea is to make a shim to take some of the angle out of the pistol grip, I can almost hold it out with one hand easily.

I'd say leave it that way. Planning on making any more? That looks a lot cleaner than drilling into the rear trunnion.
