Default Smith & Wesson M&P22 Compact Illegal in Cal?

I want to buy a Smith & Wesson M&P 22 LR compact pistol but It looks like it is not legal in California due to threaded barrel that allows the owner to attach suppressors on it. Smith & Wesson company is not making a California legal for this model yet and I'm not sure if they will be making in the foreseeable future.
Can anyone confirm this? I might be having a wrong information on this.

The S&W M&P-22 and M&P-22 Compact have threaded barrels, which makes them assault weapons under CA laws. [PC 30515(a)(4)(A)]

In addition, the S&W M&P-22 and M&P-22 Compact are currently not listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.
This prohibits a CA FFL dealer in transferring them to a non-exempt person.

In the past, the S&W M&P-22CA was listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale and it was not considered an assault weapon, because it did not have a threaded barrel. But, S&W let them expire off the Roster and discontinued production of them, due to issues with CA DOJ. Currently, S&W has no plans to ever make a CA legal variant of the M&P-22 and M&P-22 Compact.

My M&P 22CA has a threaded barrel with a permanently affixed cap, just like the Walther P-22. They have to be threaded, because the barrel is fixed to the receiver by way of an external sleeve which is held in place by the barrel nut. It simply is not possible to produce either pistol without threads on the barrel.

I know this doesn't help your situation but I love shooting my MP22CA. Sorry you didn't grab one when you could.(honest truth)
That being said given my current situation I could let it go for the proper dollar amount.
All joking aside I really hope you can get a full size 22 MP sometime soon. I love mine it's a great plinker and help me tremendously improve my handgun fundamentals at a good cost. once they are good and broken in mine even shot sub sonic ammo. it's was fun like shooting an air pistol
