I have a similar one called an AKT98 or something like that. Built from a parts kit and the original factory receiver and barrel. Kind of particular with certain ammo but it likes the Mini Mag. I, too, haven't shot it for years. How much are these going for these days?

I waited too long when those were available. When I finally decided to get one, the last few available ones nationwide had been sold earlier in the week. I've regretted it ever since. You snooze, you lose.

WASR-22s can be hit or miss.
Some are jam-o-matics and need some fiddling with, polishing, etc. to work right.
Mine had major issues with the factory mags and original AKT mags, since bought aftermarket extractor sets, firing pins, and BDM mags. Haven't tried it since.
One of these days....

I must have gotten the hit model as mine has not had any issues whatsoever. All ammo I've fed it has not been a problem.

That's why I kept putting the purchase off. I was afraid of getting a dud. Instead, I have nothing.

I have one and it fails to feed a lot. I tried different ammo and had no luck. The shell casings also get trapped inside the dust cover. So I guess I got a semi dud.
