9mm AR
What is the easiest way of building a 9mm AR using Glock magazines? What specific 9mm parts do I need to complete the build?

What kind of upper do you use with the DDLES lower? Will a CMMG upper work with this lower?
And does it require a specific BCG?

DDLES, Lone Wolf Distributors, Olympic Arms and MGI all make AR pattern lower receivers that use Glock magazines.
Most 9x19mm AR uppers will work without any modifications with the above mentioned AR Glock lowers. However, the 9mm BCG needs to be modified to work with Glock magazines.

Average price of a stripped AR Glock lower is $275.
Average price of a modified 9mm BCG for the AR Glock lower is $250. |

Could add the ability to shoot on pistol ranges or at indoor ranges as well.

Because a lot of us don't have just one AR15. If we already have a couple in a rifle caliber, why not build one in a pistol caliber?

So that leaves pistol calibers, or .22 rifles...which suck at knocking down steel. I built my 9mm DDLES Glock because I wanted to have a reliable gun for steel, and it's ALOT cheaper to shoot/train with for CQB drills. I have plenty of glock mags for my 34 and 17, I reload 9mm, and have a few good recipes for the carbine. I went with a JSE SS 16"barrel, CMMG bolt (I milled it for glock mags) DDLES lower, MI 12" handguard, ACE stock and a Burris fastfire red dot. (crappy iphone pic) |

I would go with DDLES for the lower. My DDLES is for Colt mags, but it is a nice piece. They can be slow in shipping and they are pricey, but no more pricey than a lower with a mag block.
Others have already shared info on modifications that need to be done to the bolt to work with the glock mags.

I love 9mm carbines including ARs, but 9mm blowback has pretty much the same recoil as DI 5.56. Great for training or just because, but not as sometime "light".
