Default Sinclair Case Neck Sorting Tool Yes? No?

For those that have used this tool --

If you had a "do over" would you purchase and use this tool?

I understand that the decision depends on whether you are concerned about improving accuracy, so consider that a given.

I do not own or use this tool.

Personally, I'd skip it. All it will do is ID a case that has circumferential variances in neck wall thickness.

What do you do if you find your cases fail whatever you set as your limit? You neck turn. And if you're looking for accuracy, you neck turn anyway. In order to tell if you're turning enough or too little, you measure the wall thickness with a ball mic, which eliminates the need for the Sinclair sorting tool, doesn't it?

Just my $.02

I bought one several years back, thinking it would help when sorting through commercial lower priced brass like Winchester, Remington, Etc. I was surprised to find that new brass is very consistent in neck thickness and concentricity.

If your thinking about buying that tool just start neck turning and save the money.
