Chiappa Rhino
Just picked it up a few days ago! I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I love how it feels in the hand - I'm normally not a fan of wooden grips on revolvers, but so far I like it.

The trigger is OK. In single action, the pull is very light (don't have my gauge on me at the moment), but slightly mushy... it doesn't feel like a typical single action revolver trigger. Double action is very smooth, but just a tad heavy for my taste. I certainly wouldn't say the trigger is bad, but it's not amazing either. We'll see how it feels after I put a number of rounds downrange

Truly excellent photography. But I am still having a hard time seeing the beauty of the firearm itself. I guess the classic design is too deeply embedded in my mind as the norm.

$1050
http://www.riflegear.com/p-2591-chia...-magnum-5.aspx They convert it to single-action only, either by removing a piece or installing a modified part (I'm honestly not sure), then you can convert it back after buying it. I suppose SAE would be a more appropriate term to use! |

That's awesome. I keep thinking Rick Deckard.

Nice looking revolver. Reminds me of the MaTeba revolvers.
How does it shoot? Does it have the ability to fire .38 SPL or .38 SPL+P?

As weird and complex as their internals look, I still seem to want to get one. Good-looking guns and the low bore axis is quite desirable.

Not mine but my friends. This is the .357 version and we were shooting it with 38 specials. Almost no recoil at all. Very soft shooting gun, little to no muzzle flip...nice.
Love the gold, bling factor is high! |

Doesn't hurt that it's more than just a gimmick and really is a good shooter too. |

Love it, but gold may be too gaudy for me. Looks like another handgun to add to the back of the line on that 1-in-30. Oh well.
Has anyone fired the 4, 5 and 6 inch versions and be able to comment on kick and recoil? I'm thinking the 50DS or 5 inch version. |

I have a 40DS, the 4 inch barreled one.
It's my favorite revolver to shoot and the one I'm most accurate with. I've put 1200 rounds of 38spl +p through it without a hiccup. I've got revolvers that are considered "nicer" than this (eg pythons), but this is the one I like the best. I'll be keeping it and looking for a two inch snubbie
